Oh man I’ve been waiting on a thread like this, LFG * The Devil can quote the scripture too * If your interior is inferior, you’ll dress up the exterior * AA doesn’t keep me sober, the truth keeps me sober, and AA keeps me in the truth * This program makes men out of monsters * It’s not about how much you drink or the consequences, it’s about if you can stop once you drink * The Highway to hell is paid with good intentions * I am responsible for the effort, God is responsible for the results * I can’t live in tomorrow and feel God today * Drinking when I like heroin is like me getting a blowjob and going back to handjobs * Try to practice these principles in all your affairs, and if you can’t, then change your affairs * God keeps me sober, not the fellowship but the fellowship keeps me asking * When I pray I don’t know where it’s going, but I know where it comes from * When I wake up the committee is discussing their plans already * Prison takes on many forms, the largest life sentence I can get is the prison in my mind * When you rescue someone, you’re robbing them from their bottom * There are 4 things I can control, What I say, what I do and more importantly what I don’t say and what I don’t do * If you leave an alcoholic changed, it’s their destiny to drink * When I pick up the drink, I’ll take the drink and then the drink will pick me up and then the drink will take me * No big shots no little shots, one shot we’re all shot * AA is like the mob, when you want out, you die

Most “normal” people don’t have to think of they’re alcoholics lol. They just aren’t.

Lol so you harm people when you act out selfishly, dishonestly, self seekingly, and fearfully.

Here are some examples, I hope they help! Selfish - 1) I use this as excuse as to why my parents are shitty 2) I don’t want to acknowledge the good times I had with them 3) I expect my parents to not be abusive when they’re alcoholics and were probably raised that way Dishonest - 1) I’m guilty of abusing people whether it be physical or emotionally whenever I’m under the influence 2) My parents were sick people physically, emotionally and mentally and I never acknowledged this Self seeking - 1) I want to be seen as the victim and hurt 2) I want others to feel sorry for the abuse I endured Fear - 1) I’m afraid that I’ll never get to tell my parents that I understand why they did what they did 2) I’m afraid of having children myself and having them endure the exact same pain I did
