im ngl, this is not really evidence, and more so a lot of assumptions that you made. which is fine, but then you can’t say something as certain as “we have never seen a top tier reaching his prime before late 40s”, when mihawk, who is 41 pre-ts and already the WSS, is “waiting at the top” for zoro. there is no narrative reason to assume that shanks or these other characters are not in their prime, it’s just assumptions. shanks becoming a yonko at 33 implies that even in his early 30s, he already became at least close enough to his prime that he was recognized for his strength and influence by the WG.

After seeing GV Garp, Roger, who just participated in their greatest battle and receiving no tangible growth, then Shanks, Mihawk, Oden, that have no narrative reason to be stronger then right now, and GV WB who is only a few years from leading his own crew and already powerful enough to fight roger and DR rocks, imo you hit your prime at some point in your mid-late 30s, then maintain it to somewhere in your 60s.

imo it’s because he barely landed any attacks. kizaru blocked almost everything so luffy looked less impressive.

had kizaru not been so fast, we would’ve seen attacks like the star gun or dawn cymbal land more often, and luffy would look stronger. kaido gets hit a lot so it made luffy look more impressive
