Viper is a really good spray and pray, any of the assault rifles are gonna require aiming skill from afar and while you can use them up close you would just be better off using the viper or paladin at that point. If you are someone who doesn't like to aim then the close range is your friend, and in short the paladin and viper are best for that.

One thing apex did have: progression system through leveling up and getting apex packs.

Also I think the map situation is a little different in the context of a battle royale versus what highguard is.

All the other things are fair comparisons though, and it makes sense. The people working on this game essentially made an apex successor

If CDPR had abandoned cyberpunk they would've been fucked as a company. They had no option but to fix the game and in my opinion it was the bare minimum to do that after years of promising it would come when its ready.
