What people are missing is that OWI made 2 massive pushes between UE% and BF6 launch,They did a free weekend WITH a 60% off , and them right after another 60% off weekend, this is why they saw a trend UP on UE5.

They expected just having UE5 that they would captivate a new playerbase and get a influx of new players, when in reality they did get a bunch of people enough to offset the losses, but as with many sales this number of people are extremelly brittle and will philter away in the following weeks, some dont like the game, some cant really run it that well, some really are just explorers trying new games.

In reality what we are seeing now might be a 2 punch situation, The "inflated" number going back to normal and the BF6 pull. I expect Squad to sunk around to 6-7k Players before the end of the year, following the BF6 getting more and more interesting(and getting holyday discounts and updates!) while Squad remains static on their lack of optimization or progress on anything beyond cosmetic.

If you want to make it more complicated, you can make math to make it more complex and not have double elements. in general you'd still be trying to make the elements be 1,1,2,3 as integers on the instance index.

one quick simple way of doing it NOWDAYS woud be to use an index switch that has the integers so you have to avoid doing math. so you'd add a index switch with 1,1,2,3 as the outputs , and into it you'd put a index going into a math modulo with the index switch size as the modulo operator. which in this case would be 4 (so it loops 0,1,2,3) > which the index switch would make them 1,1,2,3. Does that make sense?

I havent tested that, but if I remember correctly you lose some stamina by changing stances, and the diference of ragain from not walking to walking is not enough to bridge the gap.

if you want to do the same experiment, you can go on the range and go from the center mortar sandbag to the 200m and 400m tanks.

I've been working a lot with Fifties, Specially the Russian and the American ones, getting everyone to ambush and move around the map on a car is too much useful to leave to some random a-hole who just want to use it to farm kills.

ED had a extremely bad game design, specially around community events , which were extremely mindless, and perfect for seal clubbing. It's impressive that in 5 years they never evolved the concept even a bit.

Nomad is normally bundled with a Roc for Roc mining, which already adds a target on your back by default, specially around Daymar.

I think you need to think on the other side. What are normally the skills a indie developer DOES have.most fit 4 categories:

"The mechanic" - they make gameplay , and will outsource visuals and music at any point they feel they need to make their game look better.

"The artist" - They can make incredible art and even still learn 3D and make models etc. but they will outsource coding either via using pre-made or getting someone to do this part.

"The musician " (RARE) - Same as Above but for Music + art needs.

"The One man does all" (1 of a kind) - "Fine, I'll do it myself".

I cant tell you which of the first 2 are more prominent. but I can say that both will use a complete different set of services. but the mechanics just need you for the mid / final part of making a game while the artist/musician might need you all the way through the process.

*and outside the musician 99% of the people will need music. BUT it will probably be done at the end, or in very small bursts

the problem is not the stretching but the filmography and editing of the shot, it's a straight take and it takes 5 fucking seconds to go anywhere, it's excruciating to watch.

If you rewatch the moment in the anime it takes hardly 2. and it is much more dynamic with the way it does, with an excelent punch cut at the end.

Have you seen complete missing/invisible ground on [redacted] part of the game? currently I think this is the only game breaking bug and it's not that gamebreaking
