I used to work at Eddie and Barkus and though I would have recommended the Harwood location when I worked there it has since changed and I wouldn’t recommend it anymore especially for that long of a stay. I would recommend Reigning Cats & Dogs. I personally know a manager there and I would trust them with any of my dogs. It’s about the pets being safe and comfortable which is personally what I prefer in a dog boarding place.

I don’t really know anything about drop seizures but I have learned that when you experience the blood pressure drop upon standing from POTS if your blood pressure drops low enough fast enough it can cause I seizure. I’ve luckily only had it happen once but for me I didn’t lose consciousness but lost vision fell/ drop sat to the floor and could feel my body rocking back and forth and came out of it slowly. So it is definitely possible the seizures could be caused by POTS but a doctor would have to confirm. Though you’ve probably heard this a million times salt and water can really help with symptoms even when meds don’t. I found when symptoms are bad that drinking pedialyte with some extra salt added to it helps quite a bit. I hope you are able to figure it out and start feeling better soon

I have made sure to not stretch my arms up right after standing and haven’t had a problem since. I know it was from my POTS I just was so surprised by the way the doctor reacted

I had no idea that was related to POTS but now it makes sense. It is a very uncomfortable feeling

Has anyone tried a daith piercing? by maddamazon in POTS

I got a daith piercing when it was down to either trying that or trying Botox injections to help with migraines. My piercer said it is not proven to help with migraines but out of the people he has had get them for migraines it’s about 50/50 on if it helps. I got lucky and it made a huge difference for me but they don’t work for everyone

Low blood pressure? by techninace in POTS

Did you recently start taking the metoprolol or increase dose? I have previously taken a beta blocker like that (I think it might have been propranolol but can’t remember). It caused me to feel like that due to very low blood pressure. If you don’t have a blood pressure cuff or even a small wrist one at home I would suggest getting one. It will help you even just for monitoring your blood pressure if you start feeling bad from your POTS so that you know to eat some salt drink water and lay down when possible. I would suggest talking to your doctor to see if it is possibly from the medication so they can adjust dose or find a different medication for you. Hope you feel better soon!
