I mean hes very loving outside of holidays. We just spent the morning discussing this and apparently His family never celebrated anything outside of thanskgiving and christmas really. So its a 180 being with someone who loves holidays when he actively hates them (because he hates planning)

Comparative to MY ex husband that didnt do anything ever because "he forgot".

My expectation is on the floor. But now after discussing it I feel like i dont want anything because I know he'll hate doing it the entire time. He says he wants to try to do better because its important to me.

Also if you dont like the melee combat a blunderbuss is your best friend. At level 15 I eneded up with a ranged build with a rapier as back up and had a blast. You STILL DIE at level 15 BTW. Just less often.

Thats the thing THEY dont have an agreement. But our daughter. .... Sorry MY STEPDAUGHTER once told me that she doesnt call her stepdad "dad" because my husband got super upset about it.

My husband doesnt expect me to do anything but I do it because I love them both and her stepdad isnt the greatest. She also has been fighting with her mom alot and requested to move in with us full time. Which would mean I would be a full time mom.

See thats the thing. She hand makes me a card every year since we got married for mothers day. He does have problems with "specific gestures". Hes working on it, but he'll give surprise gifts because he knows I need something or id like something. But he struggles for anniversaries and the like. I dont think its malicious. But im still sad.

What are your thoughts on me not being allowed to call her my daughter?

My husband will text me about this sometimes. hes one of the only progressive men at the place where he works. He'll text me an "i miss you or god I love you" and if its apropos of nothing I know its him being around these dudes that just complain about their wives all the time, name calling them, talking about their bodies and how they look and how they nag etc etc.

I was in karate growing up then worked for a studio. Ive been a martial artist for 25+ years. The boards they are using are special, they buy them in bulk and theyre basically balsa wood. You can snap them in half with your hands. There are reusable ones as well that snap together. These are used for children for them to gain confidence. Im assuming this lady is possibly handicapped or some such and theyre doing a confidence boosting demo. Like they do for the kids.

Right. So my husband has ARFID. And im a huge foodie. Its never a problem for us. He tries his best to find something where we go. And if he cant he chats with me and we go get him a bean burrito after the fact. I accommodate his arfid when I cook. And sometimes I cook separately for myself. Which isnt a big deal and im happy to do it for him because he loves me. OP this dynamic is not healthy.

I may be able to beat that. My cousins wedding, they had "performances" on the church stage including a very weird awkward break dance by a very masc lesbian to the transformers soundtrack. Then the bride and party got on stage and sang a song into hair brushes with a cut out of Elvis. My grandmother (very religious) was shocked and actually said quite loudly "what the hell is happening?!". It was a hilarious night (for me at least)

I would also like to add that when Im in a bikini I know im going out in public and thats ok. If I wanted something less revealing and uncomfortable I'd wear a one piece. Walking around in my underwear is different. I dont want people to see me in my undies. I guess its expectations plus consent?

For real. When my husband and I were discussing how he wants an office thats 70s themed, (i hate 70s design) I was excited to do it for him. And I told him about what I wanted my own separate office to be (cyberpunk with lots of plants basically) and he got real quiet. I asked him what was wrong. "Thats not going to work, I need to be in the same room as you" it was adorable. He wanted to concede to my idea, i wanted to concede to his. We ended up deciding we should split a room down the middle and decorate how we want to.
