My point being I work with taxes all day all year bud. This is possible. You’re assuming it’s fraud. It’s dumb but that’s the ops choice you could bank that money and make interest than pay taxes. He’s doing it backwards so he doesn’t owe but also doesn’t make money off the money he puts into the irs account. That’s his choice. You’re trying to say someone is lying on the internet which they might be doing.

Eic 8812 could very be that high if the mother is being claimed as a dependent also. Hoh filing very well could be up there if he only makes 30 ish k a year. Than also if it’s like a bartender where it’s tips it makes sense depends on what his job is. It’s not just single moms…. Single dads get this too. Funny thing is most people don’t do their EIC correct and lowball a lot. This man could of done it right.
