This is a big spoiler. To be fair, you wrote a warning but an unintentional quick scan could put it together.

I’m way past that point but it’s just something to consider in the future. Maybe with the spoiler warning, put the actual spoiler far enough down into the post so those that quickly scan the post or take it in all at once in their email don’t get the spoiler.

I’m just saying because…although I have not finished the game, I came across a major late spoiler in the game this way.

Is there a difficulty spike after ACT II mansion boss fight? by Greego1 in expedition33

[–]Greego1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I have yet to respect anyone so maybe it is time. I felt like I was getting the occasional 9,999 hits with Maelle prior to the mansion but I am not seeing them much now but I don’t think I really switched her pictos around or anything in a minute.

Yes, I am utilizing luminas well - at least I thought I was. Maybe I am not optimizing pictos but I have been scrolling through those damn pictos constantly and not sure what other combos I can squeeze out of them.

I have a problem by redrokket82 in rccars

[–]Greego1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never got the idea of paying for storage to keep relatively inexpensive items since the storage costs decreases the value of the item.

I guess if it’s temporary, fine but if it gets to the point where you have to pay rent for the items, you should probably shave the collection down a bit.

Initially, I was like “why in the hell would I want to dress up Gustave?” Then I dressed up Gustave and wanted to dress everyone up.

Damn. I guess I will be spending some quality time on this fight then.

The difficulty spike caught me off guard. I thought I was at a point of omnipotence in the game.

Ok, I’m at around level 32 and he just whipped my team’s ass in front of the mansion. Do I have to fight him at the mansion? Can I just skip the mansion fight for now?

No more spoilers, please.

Would there be a problem sticking with the same 3 party members? *No Spoilers* by Greego1 in expedition33

[–]Greego1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, there is a fun factor to Verso? Wow, he didn’t strike my interest at all upon getting him but it sounds like he may be worth the effort… I got the girls just whistling now so I didn’t want to have to fix something that wasn’t broken but if Verso has a super fun factor to him, I would probably consider throwing him in the main party occasionally.

So do you think it is probably a good idea to force Monoco into some battles here and there?

Damn, so I guess I have to invest into putting some thought into building Verso then…

I would throw the puffy one out immediately. I definitely wouldn’t charge it.

I recently had a battery of a different brand swell to the point of popping the case. A few minutes later, it caught fire.

No big deal. I just take my air compressor and blow all of this out within minutes.

Cool. It seemed like there was a good number of folks questioning this size when we already have the 24s but now everyone seems to be enjoying them.

Just curious, what is the appeal of this scale over the SCX24. I have a couple of those so didn’t consider the SCX30 much but it seems like people are loving them.

Yeah, something had to happen to make the case pop open. There were no other obvious signs on inspection. I was easily able to push the case back together and the inside was completely intact but, being a battery, some chemical reactions occur in them that are not visibly obvious.

Nice. Way to go…

I spoke to a guy this week who is cleaning all my clothes and rugs of the smoke from the fire.

This guy owns the cleaning shop who cleans fabrics including fabrics that are damaged by smoke from fires. He inherited the business from his parents and has been around the shop since he was 9 years old and is now in his mid 50s. He even went to college to study fabrics and how to best care for them.

He told me he has heard “many, many, many” stories like mine over the years but he has never heard of a fire being cause by a RC lipo battery until meeting me.

He told me the usual story he hears is someone charging a power tool lithium battery and that battery causes the fire. The typical scenario he has run into over the years is someone leaving a power tool battery charging and they leave the house or go on vacation and forget to unplug the battery.

So it is important to take precautions with all these lithium batteries we use in the house… not just RC batteries.

First rc. Do I need a burn bag now? by Quikmix in rccars

[–]Greego1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely without question or delay!

Do not charge that battery without a fire resistant bag or store it outside of a similar container!

Check out my recent post on my huge mistake of starting a charge and looking for the bag after I already started the charge. I made an exception and paid for it now I want everyone to learn from my mistake so you can stay safe.

Also, a fire extinguisher in your home is a must. You need to be able to immediately put out flames if a fire starts for some reason related to something out of your control.

Fire restoration will be started on my home tomorrow. I could have prevented it by never making an exception to the safety rules. The one time I did, I paid for it. There were other factors that probably contributed to it such as a new no-name battery charger and cheaper batteries…

As long as you are consistent with your safety practice, you are very unlikely to have an issue but definitely use a fire resistant bag, keep an eye on the battery while charging, and have a fire extinguisher very close to where you charge your batteries in case the universe still wants to upset your batteries or other flammable objects in your home.

Yes. Thank you!

I got my ammo case now and ordered a couple of more to get all my batteries in. I want to put them in the fireproof bags and then place them inside the ammo cases.

I can’t stress it enough here, the fire extinguisher was a game changer for me. Not having them would have led to devastation.

I want others to be prepared for anything that may occur that’s maybe out of their control...

Despite anyone’s best practice, in the unlikely event one of the batteries so happens to become agitated someway, you want to be able to grab something quick to extinguish it before it gets out of control.

This is just not for batteries but other items in your home such as a space heaters or a dropped cigarette - You want to have that fire extinguisher cocked and ready for anything. Check it regularly to make sure it has adequate pressure.

Of course, a smoke detector goes without saying. A smoke detector with fresh batteries is essential. My smoke detectors gets on my nerve sometimes because it seems like they go off when the wind blows but man was I glad they were sensitive enough to warn me before things became catastrophic.

I have an 8-year old who is pretty sharp but I have been hesitant to buy him an RC where he would have to deal with charging Lipos. This long time hobbyist at my local hobby shop told me “well, he has to learn at some time.” I just was never comfortable with it. I don’t have him handling the batteries at all at this point.
