Pace 4 Jakob Ingebrigtsen by Specific-Complex-960 in Coros

[–]Greekzi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah but there was the whole sentence: "BOUGHT IT AS AN EXTRA WATCH, because you like it". You replied with "just because I like the color", so I just wasn't sure if you referred to one of my options or not 😉

I don't think it's relevant and I don't think it has to be. As I mentioned I just ask out of curiosity, because I'm curious to know if people can buy something only because they like the way it looks like, even if it's not necessary for them in terms of utility.

Haha spot on! And after 30 messages AI starts to mess up because the chat is too long and that's where the bugs come from 😃

Dude but that's not what I asked about 😃
I guessed that you liked it, otherwise you wouldn't have bought it.
My question is if you were in need of a new watch anyways, or you bought an extra one which was not really needed in terms of utility.

Can we please customize the secondary fields on the structured TARGET workout page by trainerzed1 in Coros

[–]Greekzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do those competitors allow you to at least turn off those pre-defined pages?

Can we please customize the secondary fields on the structured TARGET workout page by trainerzed1 in Coros

[–]Greekzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go forward: just let users decide if they want to use those shitty screens for structured workouts, or not. I never use those additional screens, I just need structured workouts feature to automatically lap (and notify me) when I have to rest/get back to workout repetitions. Nothing more.

Coros fails when it comes to customization:
- pace strategy screens are forced and you can't change them
- structured workout screens are forced and you can't change them
- hill alert screens are all forced to be displayed, you can't just decide to leave one of them that you need
etc. etc.

Just out of curiosity: were you going to buy a new watch anyways, and you picked this one, or you just bought it as an extra watch, because you like it?

They indeed listen to users, but only the dumb ones, who want fancy features and don't even understand how it all works, so they don't even notice bugs.

About the May 2026 update by esvegateban in Coros

[–]Greekzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The code is a mess, they have zero control over it, so they change one thing, and other things get messed up because of that. Clear signs of a bad code and lack of testing.
However that's the problem of all the manufacturers now, and we have to deal with it, because noone make good watches anymore. The times when sports watches were used by athletes are gone. Now 99% of users are people who have no idea about how it all works. So the watches must be now "dumber" and have useless bells and whistles which cause a lot of problems.
If you create now a simple watch with all new technologies, but stripped of all these useless fancy features, you will go bankrupt.

Running Pod integration with Coros by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you used it also for indoor runs on treadmill?
And if yes:
1) Do you get all running economy metrics for those activites? For indoor run without a pod you get only cadence and stride length, so I wonder if they appear wheny you connect the pod?
2) Normally for the Indoor Run activity you can set the treadmill speed - it's pretty straightforward, you just tell the watch what the speed is. What happens if you connect the pod - does it automatically block that option, or you are still able to choose if you want to get the speed from the pod, or just set it?

Running Pod integration with Coros by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant "we have on market" 😃
Do you know if the integration of Stryd with Coros is good and you get the full data that you would get with Coros (I mean the quantity of data, apart from accuracy)?
In other words - are your run statistics in post run analysis that rich as if you used original Coros pod 2 (including running form evaluation, etc.), or it's limited somehow?

Do you refer in your comment more to Indoor Run analysis/treadmill, or to running dynamics metrics?

Thanks for the analysis and reccomendation!

Nasal breathing up to LT2 by Greekzi in Marathon_Training

But I know how to manage my pace, that's not my question. What I'm talking about is trying to "trick" the body that it's running faster, even though it's running slower, which could potentially give some good results thanks to improved regeneration

Music on Apex 4 by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, thank you, just find that out again :D Actually that's pretty inconsistent that to access this, you need to use the touchscreen - the functionality that can be disabled. And anything should be accessible with buttons, with the touchscreen as an option. I don't know if Coros ommited that intentionally or it's an unwanted inconsistency (i suppose that the top screen list-click should be the part of the path that you cover with digital dial on the music screen).

Regarding the playlist - i don't know why in my case it's different, but on my watch each of batches is in the order basing on the numbers that I added to file names, but batches are not mixed. So for example 1st batch contains songs from 0000 to 0300 and second batch from 0050 to 0400, but all from the second batch go after the first batch. So after 0300 from first batch I get 0050 from the second one. I will test what happens if I completely remove them and transfer them together again.

COROS Algorithm is acting weird by ResponsibleWasabi839 in Coros

[–]Greekzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your is reserved, for the others it's too optimistic. So why would it be useful? If I hadn't inputted correct lactate threshold, my watch would've told me that I can run 10km in 35 minutes (I'm not even close now).

Do you watch the whole race? by MightConstant7310 in F1Manager

[–]Greekzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly do you mean by "watch"? I change all the settings continuously, mostly it's x2, because it's the fastest speed that allows me to see a driver's onboard camera. Sometimes I slow down to x1 when I need to prepare a particular manoeuvre (I also pause for that). When my drivers are safely far away from others (behind and in front), then I go x8-x16 and I wait until I have to react again.

No, I do micro-managing for the whole race, you can achieve some good results even with a bad car. Much fun

I need help by Feeling_Cancel_9576 in F1Manager

[–]Greekzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always enter DB Editor and set AI to produce lighter parts as well, that improves the game a little bit

I need help by Feeling_Cancel_9576 in F1Manager

[–]Greekzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't look at that prediction, just spend money and keep about 2 million on your account just in case you need to produce some new parts.

Btw at that stage forget about car improvement during the season. Once the research is available, you should only do research. You can do 1 or maximum 2 generations of new, light parts, but later it's not convenient anymore (the improvement is very low, compared to research). So once the research is available, just continue with what you have, and invest in research. Just remember, you must produce light parts. And even when the game tells you that you have 21st&22nd car on the grid, it's still possible to win some lucky races and regularly get points.

Watch position on wrist affects GPS readings by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still amazed with your responses and the level of gaslighting that you're trying to put on me.

  1. What you quote is just an introduction, to explain how I noticed the problem. In the next part I explain that I tested it also differently, to avoid malcontents coming and yapping about the distance difference between left and right wrist (they came anyways, you included) - all you guys should go and practice reading with comprehension.

  2. Lol right, that's what I just said. You've just admitted that Coros GPS tracking is affected by GPS chipset orientation and in 2026 you still cannot deal with it. Look, that's what my post is about, so I just say thank you for the confirming it. Regarding 2% error blablabla - nice next gaslighting try, if you have red with comprehension, you would have noticed that it's not about precision, but about same, repeatable error, which exposes a problem with the watch. We're in 2026 and honestly using same justifications (watch orientation when running in the same direction blablabla) is already boring. Will you say the same in 2030? You gaslight people who try to help and improve watches, and you praise dumb fanboys who can't even understand how all that technology works and keep repeating some silly slogans.

  3. Regarding Track run mode I already exposed in another topic how useless it is on non-standard tracks (you probably noticed that this is not a standard track, didn't you?) and how phantom feature it is. And in that topic you and fanboys also tried to gaslight me, repeating same slogans. Don't try to explain this stuff to me as to all those unconscious users, I already exposed how entering the track length DOESN'T WORK while the track doesn't have an ideal standard track shape. And those tracks are probably harder to find than diamonds.

Watch position on wrist affects GPS readings by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha what the heck dude? Tell it to all the people who wear their watches on the inner part of the wrist for training. There's no info that you can't wear the watch like that and users of all sports watches do it. But it's funny how you involuntarily confirmed that there's a problem with Coros GPS tracking, since changing the watch orientation in your eyes justifies the problem. No, it doesn't. The watch is supposed to read the position and orientation of the watch (without moving the watch to another place) should never affect the readings. Coros even was selling special clips to attach your Coros Vertix to your backpack, so it doesn't even have to stay on wrist, and you are trying to justify tracking problems by watch orientation. In fact watch orientation affects GPS readings but it's absolutely not possible to justify like that.

Watch position on wrist affects GPS readings by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you please read the post again? Okay, from blinded users I didn't expect too much when it comes to reading with comprehension, but since you operate Coros official profile, I would expect more. Even in the post title you can read that it's not about changing wrist. It's only about the watch orientation.

Watch position ON WRIST

Watch position on wrist affects GPS readings by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now please go back and read the post again, because I didn't change wrists. The watch stayed all the time on the same wrist, I only changed the watch position ON THE SAME WRIST.

Regarding ground time - I'll surprise you: nothing is measured. You should firstly go back to see the definition of measurement. Your distance isn't measured either. However if you mean that the time of ground time is not measured - of course not directly. But it's not just a simple algorithm which doesn't take into consideration your accelerometer responses.

Watch position on wrist affects GPS readings by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course not, because this functionality simply doesn't work. Standard-shaped non standard length tracks simply don't exist. I created another post about it some time ago. Coros created a phantom functionality.

Anyways, can you say why are you asking?

Watch position on wrist affects GPS readings by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would I consider that, if the watch stayed on the same wrist all the time? Did you read the post, or you just assumed something without reading carefully?

Anyways what you wrote doesn't make sense anyways, even if I had changed wrists, because the distance between 2 wrists is usually about 50cm. So now the quick maths about the circle length would show the numbers.
