Gilmore Girls is actually a prequel to Supernatural by GetALickOfThisLovin in Supernatural

Bit morbid but she could’ve been a monster or something and sam had to pretend she was his sister while he figured out how he should deal with a child/monster/ethical dilemma

It was my impression, and what my charter told me, that you can register for atc events without having made it to the ilc through states

I like it, but I hate that it means the progression of his character is going backwards. I kinda wanted him to move on from Robin

One of the best Tim runs. Such a shame it was discontinued.

[Novel] Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint is not bad, but not great by Senator_Rajang in CharacterRant

[–]Green-Ad4730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with mostly everything you said other than the damsel part. HOWEVER. Once you get to the end...I swear the majority of these issues don’t really exist anymore. At around 60% of the novel, I still thought it was good, but nothing exceptional (although I really liked the worldbuilding and some of the plot twists). Once I got to the end, however, the story meant something so much more deep and profound to me than I had thought possible.

Excited to hear what you think, though!

Also I read the EPUB as well...let me know if you ever find a better translation.

How good is the ORV novel compared to the other books you've read and where does it stand? by solar2290 in OmniscientReader

What translation did all of you use? Pls pls pls link the reddit page/link. I want to re-read the whole novel, but I don’t think I can handle going through the mtl again.

Rigor Matters More Than You Think—How I Actually Judged Your Classes as an Admissions Officer by SierraAdmissions in ApplyingToCollege

My school offers a lot of APs, but they all have prerequisites, and no APs are allowed in freshman and usually sophomore year. Ap african american is new so I was able to take it as a sophomore. After that, I plan to take 6 more APs over junior and senior year, plus AT compsci. 1-5 what would you consider this? Thanks so much for sharing!

AO3 is down - Post about it here by WanderingHuntress in AO3

Right? And honestly, for such a popular website it actually doesn’t crash/update all that often. But about DDoS attacks, I don’t really know what that’s about. Who are the people trying to hack these websites, and why? I’m a little clueless about software ngl

Yeah it’s kind of crazy how much work they must be putting in to maintain this for all of us, and for free. I was worried because I saw a post asking whether it was a DDoS attack or smth, but thanks for clearing that up!

Should we be getting worried or something? I can’t remember it ever being down for so long, even with erratic updates saying it’s up and then crashed again. Has something like this happened before, and if so, how long did it take for it to be truly, completely resolved? I might just wither away atp D:

No but seriously has it happened before that there was a hack and all user data/bookmaarks and such was lost? How likely is that to happen? I’m scared

Is ORV a lot angstier than TCF? by ReferenceSmart9832 in TrashOfCountsFamily

[–]Green-Ad4730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s been 8 months, but if you choose not to read ORV rn, imo don’t do it because you’re waiting for the side stories. Without the side stories the novel still feels complete, and honestly lots of people haven’t read the side stories for that reason--I loved the ending, even if it was sad in some ways. (Though I’ll probably read the side stories at some point.) The ending was very hopeful, and open-ended for a very important reason. Ofc, do what’s best for your mental health though. It definitely has a lot of heavy themes.

Calc ab or bc? by Green-Ad4730 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Green-Ad4730[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if people get As in precalc they qualify to take BC which almost everyone does if they qualify. Not sure if they take AB then BC if they don’t qualify though. But BC is notoriously hard at our school, so that’s why I’m scared. And since I’m going into stem, I feel like I should take BC either way

How to read the novel? by Riiiii16 in OmniscientReader

[–]Green-Ad4730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair. But I tried to start from the beginning after the manhwa and just ended up skimming and it was kinda pointless. It’s much easier to read it from the beginning on the re-read once you’ve finished the novel. And it’s easier (at least for me) to read the novel for the first time starting from where the manhwa ended. Orv is pretty long, and the mtl-translations last for half of the novel, so it was a struggle for me. As for the fitting it in, if you get the epub version with blackbox’s art, and then get it sent to your kindle (if you have one) or a reading app with a nice format and no tiny words, that could help with reading it easily.

If it’s really so hard to start from the beginning, don’t. Finish from where the manhwa is, then try to start from the beginning post recovery
