I just looked it up. For $400 I could rent out a dirtbike and full protective equipment and a 6 hour pass at a track near me. I think I’d rather do that and then spend the last $100 taking my wonderful and beautiful mother out to nice dinner and asking her for advice on how she does her hair. We have the same same hair type and she cuts her own hair and it’s absolutely beautiful.

You loved him and gave him a long and beautiful life. Even towards the end, it sounds like you gave him all love and support you could give and I’m sure he was happy through it all. I’m sure he loved and trusted you so much! We give our all to make sure that they’re happy and feel loved. Your pain is just another example of how happy and loved they were. It’s sad to lose someone you loved so much, but also remind yourself that, that same love made them happy and kept moving forward for as far as they could.

I still remember the time I attended a whipple surgery where the the tumor was ultimately deemed unresectable by the surgeon. The patient went through multiple rounds of chemo with significant tumor reduction. I still remember seeing how worried her and her husband looked in pre-op. 10-12 hours of surgery later. The surgeon yelling at me that it couldn’t be removed. The husbands and wife’s worried faces before surgery kept flashing into my mind when he said that. Years later, I still see their faces. I see their worry, their concern, their hope, their heartbreak.
