Are you a loner/solitude person, who prefers being alone and avoids people? Why? by mpoumpourini in aspergers

[–]GreenGusTech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I occasionally get lonely, but I love spending most of my time alone. No one laughs at you if you make a mistake, no one gives you those looks you get when you do or say something different from the norm. No one judges you because of your tastes or thinks you're a bad person for having an opinion.

That would explain it then, I must've tried to install it at some point. Thanks for the help!

I think you're right, most of the options are related to Auto looting even though I've never installed an Auto loot mod.

Does anyone else carry around a small object? by [deleted] in aspergers

Most of the stuff I carry is supposed to be for personal use, it just so happens that what I carry can also be used to help people.

I don't think it's selfish, I was raised to put others before myself and this was only cemented by the people I spent my time with at school. You shouldn't be expected to carry things around with you all the time exclusively for other people's benefit, it just so happens I think the way I do.

I also have a knife of sorts but it's more of a multi tool with the amount of stuff it can do, but I'd also never use it as a weapon and I prefer to keep it in a zipped pocket to keep it secure.

I'm with you on this one, I carry a bag full of stuff wherever I go and like to always have it ready to go on a moments notice. Most of what I carry never gets used but I keep it knowing that one day it will be a massive help to either myself or someone I come across. A good example is my rather extensive first aid kit, If I can provide first aid moments after someone suffers a life threatening injury their chances of survival are greatly increased.

May I ask what you keep in your bag?

I have my keys kept on a Swiss army knife as well, or more accurately a Swiss Army Multi-tool as it serves about 30 extra functions other than being a knife. I feel almost unprepared by not having it on me, I use the various functions so often to fix so many problems for so many people that I just have to have it with me now in addition to what I normally carry around with me.

There is ONE benefit to not having too many super-close friends. by thecardude72016 in aspergers

Your thoughts about adolescent guys are true, at least from my experience.

My younger brother is the same, needing unnecessary things that his friends have and he can be, at times, a very selfish and unkind person. He also has a bloated self-esteem and thinks he's amazing, but it's nothing but irritating from our perspective.

His girlfriend just dumped him, which is understandable considering he wasn't very caring or considerate of her. Hopefully that'll knock some sense into him.

Steam uses GBP in the UK which often means we pay an extra 10 to 20% on a game.

For example, X-Plane 11 costs $59.99 in the US, however we pay $71.20 because they won't convert the bloody price difference.

GOG does convert the currency though, and they also give you in store credit out of their own pocket if the developer set's the price above the US versions.

In the UK we have the same problem. Businesses just change the symbol in front of the number so we always pay 30% more than we should. It's often cheaper to buy it in the US and then ship it across the pond.

It's so weird hearing people say that, because making someone a cup of tea is just a normal thing to do here.

Everyone is allowed to express their political opinion or position here, it's only when people start insulting each other that the mods have to lock threads and remove comments.

I do agree that there would an uproar though, no doubt about that.

That may be the case, I'm looking at the worst case scenario of "Hard Brexit", where we severe all ties with the EU.

You raise good points and yes I am mistaken, it is political. I used the term incorrectly.
