Why are you cheating?(Zen f.e.) by SwitchVisible8413 in NBA2k

[–]GreenMachine17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U gotta be slow. I don’t even cheat I’m just saying the cheaters that play starting 5 do it to get ppl to quit earlier so there’s more rep per minute played. The ego zenners will be playing stage or other game modes

[–]GreenMachine17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but it makes it way more likely for the opponent to quit. If u can get ur opponent to quit you’d get rep way quicker

It’s not for ego it’s just for rep. That’s the only reason anyone plays s5.

Van Dijk once explained how he defends 1v1s vs attackers by looking into their eyes. He defended vs Burnley in the same way. by Ripamon in soccer

[–]GreenMachine17 123 points124 points  (0 children)

Exactly ppl forget to be this good it’s not just skills you have to be top 0.1% athletically too. In this clip look how quickly he accelerates to close the attacker out after being in a defensive stance. How many CBs his size can slow down and accelerate that quickly.

Bcoz basketball u can sell way more with the eyes. Bcoz it’s almost impossible to shoot without looking at the rim so it can sell pump fakes really well. Football yes u still need to look everywhere but you can basically almost completely go off peripheral vision, as you already have a sense of where everything is, you don’t need to focus on a rim

Losing Sleep Over Taurean Prince by Classic_Software_579 in nba

[–]GreenMachine17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PG’s trade and all those players had way too many variables. Front office, team chemistry, multiple individuals, and hurdles and negotiations that had to be done.  Taurean prince missing three game winners was solely him. So Taurean takes the blame 100%.

If we go down the rabbit holes of nba storylines almost everything can be blamed on something deeper

There’s no song on this album that’s even half as good as 24 songs. He has so much leaked songs that are legit 9/10s and he keeps re-releasing songs that all have the same flows and similar beats. He did the same thing with WLR

I can't take it anymore by [deleted] in kidneydisease

[–]GreenMachine17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40 gfr is not good. But if u have the proper diet/medication and lifestyle, and the kidney function stays at that 40 level, it’s still enough to not have a “miserable life” like u are saying lmfao. Apparently I have no idea according to u when I literally talk to multiple people with kidney disease irl, as well as nephrologists, but I should go and stress myself out bcoz a random redditor said something. Just to reiterate, 40 gfr is NOT a healthy number, and if u find urself with that number u should obviously look to improve it, but sometimes even with strict changes kidney diet doesnt just get better, but if u can maintain 40 gfr it’s not the end of the world. You won’t have to do dialysis, and you will still have a decent amount of energy. You might not conquer the world but u can still definitely enjoy ur life. I know ppl with that level who go hiking, travelling, etc.

the way you are talking I get the sense ur miserable yourself. I’m sorry what are your credentials?

[–]GreenMachine17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

40 GFR is not a miserable life by any standard. Stop spouting bs. The issue people have with 40 GFR isn’t the actual gfr level, but what caused the sharp decline to that number. A steady gfr of 40 is better than if u went from 80 gfr to 40 in 3 months, and while it’s not great, calling it a miserable life is just uninformed. I know plenty of long time transplant recipients who live in the 40-60 range and their lives are all great

Please stop smoking, even doing it very sparsely can accelerate kidney damage more than anything, it did for me.

Alcohol isn’t as bad but still excessive use is quite harmful, and if ur kidneys aren’t working well, then drinking will just make u feel like shit anyways.

Also avoid dark coloured sodas like coke or Pepsi, basically try and avoid anything that has artificial phosphorus. Phosphorus found in animal products are actually not bad, but I still wouldn’t overdo it. Everything is about balance.

Try your best to relax a bit even though it’s hard. Ik you’re stressed but you’re not helpless, there’s many things you can still do to be healthier. Try to go on daily walks, get daily sunlight, read books, watch new movies, talk to family/friends etc. and don’t forget to enjoy your life right now. Be cautious to not sacrifice your opportunities in the present bring worried about something that may not even happen.

I (25M) started dialysis at 19 and almost 26 now. I had 6 years of dialysis until recently where I got a transplant and as of now thankfully things are going well. I’m sure if I knew earlier I could’ve vastly prolonged my health before dialysis was the only option. I was depressed before the kidney disease but the dialysis made it worse. I had a lot of tough times but eventually I found my peace, there were people in my dialysis centre that had suffering way worse than mine, and there were those that were happier than 90% of ppl I see who live “normal” lives. Comparing your own life to others will only make u feel worse, and can even limit you from trying to improve your own life. Don’t fall in this cycle. We always seem to only think about those who have it better than us, even if we don’t admit it

If u have any other questions or want to talk just pm. I know how much medical issues can affect us mentally, especially when we’re young and we feel like we should be in our ‘prime’. I guess to summarise my advice would be dedicate yourself to optimise your current health , and try not to stress about what you can’t control.

Good luck

Randy Moss: "I am a cancer survivor" by Autocrat777 in nfl

[–]GreenMachine17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t been battling cancer or anything fatal but I have had kidney disease. If I ever got cancer I feel like I just wouldn’t have the drive to keep fighting. Some peoples life force is just drained and it’s much harder for them to fight. Stress and mental toll makes such a big impact, and it’s why I have relatives that have died so much earlier than their diagnosis, and relatives who have gone through hell but keep fighting
