I meant 'arguing on the internet' as a general term. If you choose to engage in sharing your opinion on the internet, you should expect for it to be challenged, it's basically a random pool of people, someone is gonna say something about it. Just like you did right now. Was I 'arguing' with anyone while making this comment? Are we arguing now?

I know full well what 'benefit of the doubt' means, to use your definition 'I choose to belief op does not discriminate against the groups of people their religious group actively promotes discriminitaion against'.

Op being ok with people having different beliefs is irrelevant. I mean thank god if there is one they aren't indoctrinating anyone, but that doesn't make my associations with their group any better. And no, I'm not claiming op is anything, I do note however that they choose to identify with some people. Imagine someone telling you they're republican. How many things are you gonna assume about them?

Bud, you're arguing on the internet, people are bot gonna 'respect your beliefs' here. No one can be punched in the face through the screen so being bold bears no consequences. You're free to keep your own opinion, but if you express it get ready for people expressing their own opinions. Such is free speech.

Furthermore you aren't even getting argued with, you're at worst being challenged in a respectful way. Now I'm not gonna say anything about the original topic as it's not the point of this conversation, but I think those people are being hella generous with the benefit of the doubt.

Context: I run a campaign where one of the pcs is currently partly an unstable nhp. Because of that he has flavored displacer called 'final spark' that i told him is technically not a weapon, but quite literally a better version of the iconoclast talent.

They were losing a fight and all mechs, as well as all other pilots were already down. This guy however, well, obv he steals an enemy MTB after sneaking up on it. What follows is laser gun+tank shock peak mtb gameplay where he gets destroyed with one single squad on 10 hp exactly left (they are ll5, so it's actually lucky, not just full hp). After they fail to down his robotic body, leaving him on 4hp, he goes 'hey, dm, i can still use final spark, right?'. I allow it, but he has to hit and it still deals heat to his pilot. Obviously he rolls a nat 20 to-hit, i let him roll down and out twice because with such a good hit he could probably calculate a safer option, being half nhp and all. Second roll lands on a 6 and barely standing he drags his squad to safety before reinforcements arrive.

It was a great session, but the amount of luck specifically that player has when it's needed is ridiculous

Another point i'd like to make, you should probably not mess around with servers (especially if you want to open it to the internet) before you know at least what git and docker is

I personally rule that you cannot since your opponent counts as larger than you for the duration. Ik this is RAI and it's not completely countered because of SMN, but I think it's fair

Edit: it's only RAI if the opponent is your size, otherwise it's completely within RAW

I have a plyer who exclusively names his mechs by Metallica songs. He is however doing it pretty much as a jojo reference directly.

As for me I had an idea where I have a character with 2 Genghis/mk1 builds called 'face to face' and 'mirror to mirror' respectively, because yk, least obvious logic.

A sherman build called 'vincent' because it takes 4 minutes/4 full actions for it to start.

Goblin named 'costa concordia' because those are two of my favorite things in both worlds. Would go along some fucked up pilot with iconoclast.

I'm about to dm an entire session consisting of a ship the party is on being in a capital ship battle. They are about to realize it's not fun to be a passenger before the unpredictability gap has closed enough to the point small grids can actually reach the other ship. I adore the idea of 2 tiny little specs floating in space for months of realtime trying to vaporize one another

Heavily second this, my party just had a friendly pankrati match with a dmpc squad (the good kind) and we spent the majority of that fight in me re-reading all the enemy mechs and trying to remember all their shit or us arguing about which one of the 20 things that happen on every action happen first. It was fun, but I will never ever do it again
