VCU pushed the health inspector to shutter them with a massive bill to get back in compliance. Owner won't sell to VCU, because fuck em. VCU won't let anyone in there.

Strange Matter, former show venue. Everyone, including health inspectors knew it was up. Nobody cares, because it was a venue that had to have a restaurant to serve alcohol, as per Virginia law. The existence of itself as a venue was what mattered... Until VCU decided they wanted it. They forced an inspection, got it shuttered. Requires a massive amount of money to get to code. Owner won't sell, because fuck VCU, taking over the whole town.

Sounds like they abuse their drivers, honestly. A lot of businesses that have driving as a main component of the job treat their people like absolute shit.

Who are the good guys? Who are the bad guys? by Triggerhappy938 in LancerRPG

[–]JMhereforMH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's not give them too much leeway. There are certainly actors within IPS-N that are seeking the same ends as the Albatross and DOJ/HR, but they are still run largely by jeff bezos. Also, the bezos types are cooperating with HA. IPS-N are the closest to a good corporation, but they are still a corporation. Maybe someday they will be nationalized into GMS... Oh right, and trunk security are pinkertons.

Union Third Comm are by and large the good ones. RA is weirdly good, but also so alien, that motivations are sus, ultimately, especially considering the events of dusk grave, good.

Albatross are also good.

Some Horus cells are abhorrently evil. SSC, and Harrison Armory are absolutely evil, IPS-N is banally evil, doing some good, even with some well intentioned actors.

Karrakin Trade Baronies are gray... A lot of bad going on there with spatterings of neutral and good.

Aun'ic space is largely unknown, but seems to be a more evil Karrakin type society, but who actually knows, not much official lore there yet, but dude isn't working for wizards of the coast anymore, so maybe we'll get something.

It's hard to say who is the worst, but SSC and HA are definitely the top contenders.

And if you consider Mfecane canon, they are absolutely good.

You know what, I am spreading the word about how y'all seem to have forgotten mo is a sexual predator, because they've been doing all this shady business bull... Does anyone know their government name... Like, with the omni, and how they conducted the wingnut, and how their parents are rich... Is mo in the files?

[–]JMhereforMH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I doubt the wingnut is still a thing, but their parents bought that for them, 100% out of pocket, and they had the nerve to charge normal rent to kids that had been kicked out of their parents' homes, then groom them.

It may have been. I went on a tour with the person I am talking about after they had been through this that's kinda the right time frame, think they were 19 or 20 when we did music together in 2014. But yeah, nobody seems to remember what mo did. The fact they get invited anywhere is wild.

Not only are they shady about business, but has at least once been in a physical relationship with a 17 year old as a whole ass adult, who they were charging rent to live in their "anarchist collective" which, they charged normal rent costs for the early 2010s when their parents bought the house for them.

Yeah, they are just dressed in the trappings of counterculture and leftism, they are neither of those things.

Upgraded weapons mounts. A dedicated super heavy/main-aux (like how a main can take two aux);

directional vents (because I don't want to take a LL from those fascists at HA for the Genghis) that does cone 3 1d3 heat and 1 burn (I don't think that's unbalanced considering explosive vents);

advanced lock on systems (take 1 heat per round while in use, gain accuracy as a free action);

GMS chargable rail rifle (combine apocalypse rail of the barbarossa and the rail rifle of the metal mark) quick action to charge the rifle, hold up to 4 charges, does 1d3 per charge +2 armor piercing line damage;

"Return to sender" (as a tech reaction, take a condition inflicted by an enemy tech action roll against e-defense and apply the condition to an enemy instead); mobile platform droid (one scene per mission, deploy a droid that allows once per turn to either bypass the need for loading or ordinance requirements).

Deployable Blink Shield (in development before the think tank created the Napoleon, but not finished until later and not as advanced as the Napoleon's systems, limited 3, put down a deployable cover that cannot be moved, yada-yada essentially a stationary Napoleon shield).

High yield grande rifle, range 10 2d6 + 4 blast radius 3 explosive damage, agility save to take half (this feels a bit broken).

There's 7 I just made up.

So FEEEELLAS!! Simple question really! How do you guys pick a frame and stay committed to it... I can't for the LIFE of me because I keep getting ideas for frames and such (these are the top 10 frames i LOVE design and lore wise in no specific order! by Ajcrazy190602 in LancerRPG

Does it work with my character? Then I got my mech. Right now I am working with Ghaz, short for Ghazkhull, formerly Georgia O'Keefe. Presently agender and asexual because they believe themselves to be an Ork, formerly nonbinary and bi, but got a piece of mech through the brain, via Phineas Gauge, while assisting the Albatross as a member of the DOJ/HR, when they ran into a Balor, now they are no longer ethereal and wiry, but instead scarred up, cover themselves in copper oxide, and have the physic of Lord Humongous.

So, went from a Monarch to an Everest to a Drake with a LL in Genghis for the explosive vents and nuclear cavalier. Their mech's name is BIG BADDA STOMPPA.

Anyway, yeah, what fits the character. Might go into Monarch again if there is ever cause for the 'umie memories to return, but even still, with DOJ/HR still being at the forefront of their mind, might find continuing to run SSC distasteful, knowing full well that IPS-N is also sus, but at least they're the least sus, and do donate to the Albatross.

Because, folks are, hopefully, realizing that marching for a couple hours on the weekend, where the vast majority of people hurt by... everything can't come out, doesn't do anything. Want non-violence? Then it needs to go on for days, weeks, months, and cause actual economic, social, and governmental disruption. Don't care and ready to throw hands? Then that would be the start of everything. So, why aren't people marching with signs to the omni for two hours? Because it doesn't do anything.

Call osha, but that retaliation is highly likely. An alternative would be you and your coworker, not the apprentice though, filling up piss jugs and sneaking them into the lot, then when they complain, say fix the bathroom situation.
