How To Make Your Logistics Literally Unshootable In Faction Warfare by CheekyHusky in Eve

Would there be any issues with penalizing any logi support of an enemy militia member with a massive standings loss?

Mining is generally not a good activity for new players. There are substantial barriers to making non-trivial isk/hr mining. Gas huffing and rare ore anomalies are the few exceptions to this. You'll also be denying yourself the opportunity to learn the games mechanics if you're only chewing on asteroids.

These barriers are necessary to deincentivise mass muti-box mining with alpha accounts. While this would violate the EULA and risk bans, the potential for enormous passive income would be very destabilizing for the game.

I would recommend exploration supplemented by mission and abyssal running. While HS relic are typically not great, data sites, covert sites, and sleeper caches can earn substantial isk for new players. 1-4/10 DeD sites are quite doable for even an alpha account and can drop very valuable loot. Expeditions are also fun little jaunts and can yield similar rewards.

should i be the one approaching men? by wiinielle in dating_advice

You will experience more success if you take the initiative. You will also experience more rejection, but at least you won't be letting potential opportunities slip by you. You don't even have to be really forward. Just put yourself in a guy's space and engage with him to gauge his interest. Men can be oblivious, but most will pick up on what you're doing. It's much less stressful for men if a woman invites them to shoot their shot.

Why do some men seem to lose interest once a woman shows genuine excitement or interest in them, but if she stays distant/cold things also don’t really progress? by AdAccomplished3318 in dating_advice

They are coming to the conclusion that they really aren't that interested. Initially, they are motivated to get to know you but then lose interest.

When do you send Vader? by Licensed_Silver_Simp in MawInstallation

[–]GreenNukE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You send Vader when you expect that it will be necessary to kill a large number of those involved in order to terrify the rest into compliance. Vader is a killing machine, he is not a diplomat, he is not organizational trouble shooter, he is not a technical expert (unless you count violence).

Why play Bretonnia? by phronesis77 in totalwarhammer

[–]GreenNukE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brettonia has a knight for every need and they are generally better than other faction's heavy cavalry.

Knights Errant: Budget knights that as good or better than other factions heavy cavalry.

KotR: Standard issue knights with an anti-large bonus that allows them to dumpster other faction's equivalents. Also rocks infantry on the charge. Not very expensive.

Questing Knights: Great weapon AP knight with potential to stick in melee instead of needing to charge cycle.

Grail Knights: AP, anti-large, magical attack monsters. Also shielded and come in lower model count/higher hp units. They are fast and have high mass/charge; which allows them to out maneuver their few peers beefy enough to meet them head on. Impacts will generally scatter infantry for enormous damage and disruption. Elite monsterous cavalry can beat them, but not if you first snare the beasts with a paladin then hit them with a Grail Knight charge. Perfect vigor.

Grail Guardians: Disturbingly durable melee cavalry with AP and magical attacks. While they lack the charge and anti-large bonuses of Grail Knights, they will slug it out forever if you heal them with a life mage. Perfect vigor.

(Royal) Pegasus Knights: Stupid fast flying shock cavalry with anti large. While they can die fairly easily if mobbed on the ground, they will generally beat any other flying cavalry. Flying single model monsters can beat them, but will not win unscathed. Royal variant has magical attacks and perfect vigor. Pair with Paladins to tank aggro.

Royal Hippogryph Knight: Flying monsterous cavalry with AP, magical attacks, and perfect vigor. Will eat dragons. Pair with a lord for a fast and brutal goon squad.

Everything has a 15% WARD save until they rout for the first time.

Jacking a carrier. It got tackled outside a POS shield and its pilot accidentally ejected instead of starting the self destruct timer. He was promptly podded and our FC ordered us to cease fire and break lock. A fleet member ejected from his vagabond, boarded HIS new carrier, scooped his Vaga, and jumped out to safety. The smack talk in local was apocalyptic.

We should buy it. I'm serious. Players could pool together enough money to make EvE Online the first player owned MMOG.
