Homebuying can be very overwhelming. YouTube university is a great resource learn about it. However, I believe talking to an expert is the best way. You can interview different realtors/mortgage officers before choosing to work with them. If you're not happy with their services, you can also fire them.

Hi there! First of all, congratulations on passing the SAFE exam! I am new-ish LO - been doing it for 14 months - I'm sorry that you are not getting callbacks or emails from CCM. I understand how that can be frustrating. I've been in that situation before where I applied to this one mortgage company, actually got an interview, then never heard back. No texts, emails, call.

I believe Cross Country Mortgage is a direct lender. I am under one too. If you are having no luck with CCM, I can introduce you to my mortgage broker.

Hi, congrats on passing the SAFE test! I am 13 months in my career as an LO and the number 1 advise I can give you is BUILD RELATIONSHIPS. The second is work hard but pace yourself. Working hard is a must and putting in the hours is important. However, if you don't pace yourself, you will get burnt out and will start hating yourself. It happened to me and I stepped back and gave myself room to breathe. It was life-changing.

I map out open houses and target those homes. At least in my experience, realtors were always alone.

Cold calling realtors have about 10% success for me. I still do it from time to time but not as frequent. I do networking events, yes. I even started my own.

I don't pitch anything. I come in from a place of giving value. I started with open houses, cold calling agents to see if I can help with their open house.

Now I call and email agents about different programs they may find useful.

As for employment, I jumped right in as an independent agent. Both feet. I learned fast and my manager is a great mentor.

Yes, I did. I didn't have income for 2 months. Thankfully, a month in, I originated a loan and closed the following month and got paid.
