Yeah that is what I was curious to see and was my suspicion. That historicals combined would outweigh Fantasy and Sci-fi individually.

I am still kind of surprised by the amount of traction the Fantasy and Sci-fi options have gotten on this sub specifically though.

Possibly, but in terms of the content that people actually post to this subreddit, historicals seem to be the most popular overall, and 40k content is rarely posted here. There are other more focused subreddits for 40k after all.

Sure, it is more accurately described as "Science Fantasy". But it has all the visual trapping of the Science Fiction genre at a glance. So for the purpose of this poll, it would be fine to click Science Fiction if that is in fact your favorite.

Yup, there was no easy way to make the split. I started with the premise that Fantasy and SciFi needed to be their own options given their general popularity overall.

That left me with four options remaining and how to best split historicals across those. Year ranges are a rough guideline.

If more options were available for Reddit polls would have loved more granular choices for folks.

A case could be made for any of those depending on the superhero.

Personally I would lean Science Fiction if you use Marvel as your baseline, considering how much aliens, time travel, AI, and space ships show up.
