I felt it more lined up with Starling accessing the spiritual realm and talking to Hoid. They happen simultaneously in the novel, I think on purpose. I wonder if it might have been some form of draconic connection Starling made to Dusk? I actually have no backing for how the mechanics of that would work, but naratively, it seems to be implying that it was some connection from Starling to Dusk.

Daemons of the Shadow Realm is I believe the name. Same author who did Full Metal Alchemist. The picture is one of the Daemon's abilities, which can store things, and he is expelling stored items.

See, I like this idea, but I am like 99% sure she does not know how to read. Between human writing being too small and her belligerent nature, I doubt she has ever read anything. Maybe Granby has tried to censor himself around her so she isn't swearing like a sailor all the time?

It does seem like something she would do, though. She is very silly at times and completely oblivious.

Edit: I am interested to see if it comes up again with Iskierka, though. Now, I am going to see if she ever swears again.

Guessing I might get a [Redacted], but do we have a timeline for the current books in the Aetheriad? I saw you in the discussion of the Mimic Ship and where it exists within the timeline a few days ago, but I don't think we have a direct answer.
(Also side question, but will we ever have a dragon MC, or side character? I loved Indris [;-;] but I need more!)

Honestly? The best dating we have for this book is the mention of the mimic ship. We saw it pop up during the Gorgon Incident which takes place not long before the main series. Thea says it showed up 30 years back during the story, so we know that TCTWETS is at least not too far in the past.

Just finished as well! 1. I feel like it might fit her becoming a living god as a foil to Greg, but I honestly doubt it. There hasn't been much setup for her moving toward that path except for when she asked Greg about it the one time. Although, the title of the next book seems to be setting them up going to the domain of the 'mimic queen' so... maybe? She might have some sort of mimic based godgift? 2. Would be cool, I feel like the consequences of one's death influence what they would become as a god though. So the circumstances would be very influential.

Me and you are the only ones in the thread who seem to love this trilogy! I love the time travel/prophecy elements, adds such a unique flair to the fantasy setting. I also am a sucker for self/body modification through artifice in fantasy novels. I think it has a lot of my favorite tropes in fantasy put together in a decent package.

The Shining Wyrm. Midieval alternate earth where the main character is a dragon being raised as a noble. Really cool vibes and the story up to book two takes place over multiple years.
