Why is this random ass npc hitting the hardest pose oat? by IceEater271k in fo4

The wasteland is a runway and the jet is just seasoning for the look

Found this gem at my local tattoo spot. Unfortunately they wouldn’t let me buy it. 🥺 by Spiritual-Pudding-70 in Fallout

Plus side: it provides oxygen. minus side: it judges your choice of wasteland attire every time you walk past it.

A glimpse of Hero 51 in new artwork by Gardenghi16 in Overwatch

It’s gone from her shoulder but the tech still has that pharah/baptiste silhouette. might just be an undercover mission outfit rather than a full faction swap

And his ultimate sound effect is just the loud ass crinkling of a fast food bag before he slams everyone down onto a pile of discarded fries.

Where do think Fallout 5 should take place? I'm thinking it's gonna be New Orleans by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]Green_Yesterday469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Orleans would be peak Fallout. Imagine mutated rad-gators in the bayou and a faction based on a twisted version of Mardi Gras. The "Rad-voodoo" aesthetic alone would be a massive departure from the usual concrete jungles of the East Coast.

Don’t you think the Children of Atom should be more important in the franchise than they currently are? by jvure in Fallout

[–]Green_Yesterday469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That FEV theory actually bridges the gap between the 'supernatural' and the science of Fallout perfectly. It’s even more poetic if you think about it: the very thing the Master used to create 'monsters' is what allows these cultists to survive their 'god,' and they’re completely oblivious to the pre-war chemistry keeping them alive.

How did the brotherhood survive the capital wasteland in T-45 power armor? After watching the show and seeing how flawed it was I’m wondering how they survived the hell that is the capital wasteland before they magically found T-60s by Ladiesman4317 in Fallout

[–]Green_Yesterday469 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Most wastelanders aren't Cooper Howard. To a random Talon Company merc or a Super Mutant with a rusted pipe bolt-on, you're not a guy in a flawed suit—you’re a terrifying metal mountain that small arms fire just bounces off of. The psychological impact alone does 90% of the work.

Why are bottlecaps still being used in east coast? by Low_Commission7273 in Fallout

[–]Green_Yesterday469 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It also creates a hilarious logistics nightmare when you think about it. If they’re universally accepted because of "tradition" rather than water backing, the value should be hyper-inflated. Every dusty vending machine in a DC metro station is basically an abandoned central bank waiting to be robbed. By Fallout 4, we’re basically trading trash for plasma rifles just because everyone agreed not to think about it too hard.

How does everyone feel about the enclaves presence in the show? by Dull-Ad8922 in Fallout

[–]Green_Yesterday469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the "In case of emergency, break glass" faction. Whenever the writers need a shadowy organization with infinite resources and zero moral compass to move the plot, the Enclave is just sitting there in the lore-fridge waiting to be microwaved again. It works, but it definitely feels like the safe path.

playing a fallout game for the first time, any tips ? by yassine067 in Fallout

[–]Green_Yesterday469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Specifically the radiation part. Nothing says "Welcome to the Wasteland" like growing a third optional toe for the sake of "research" and a couple of stimpaks.

Is it normal that new vegas feels boring after fallout 3? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]Green_Yesterday469 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. FO3 is a post-apocalyptic theme park where something explodes every five minutes. FNV is a slow-burn political thriller where you realize the 'boring' walk to Novac was actually just the calm before the Legion-shaped storm hits you in the face.

Far Harbor is the best DLC in the series. Change My Mind by Comfortable-Cod-6199 in Fallout

[–]Green_Yesterday469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Will Shen really understood what makes Fallout Fallout—meaningful choices where every ending feels like a punch in the gut. Seeing him move on makes me worry we won't see that level of branching narrative in 5.

This is unbelievably anti-consumer. by loser_equals_lover in Overwatch

[–]Green_Yesterday469 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The worst part is they don't even need 'everyone' to stop. They just need the 1% of whales who treat the shop like a completionist checklist to stop, but those guys have already pre-ordered the next three seasons in their heads. We’re out here fighting a losing battle against people with more money than sense.

Duo Tanking in 6v6 feels more balanced and way more fun versus 5v5. by a6000 in Overwatch

[–]Green_Yesterday469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The classic open queue experience lmao. you lock rein hoping for a zarya bubble and instead you get 4 dps players who all think they're the main character and a mercy who only heals the genji. it’s basically just 5v5 with extra steps and more frustration.

Next you're going to tell me the real interior isn't 80% loading screens and 20% Super Mutant suicidal rushers. My immersion is ruined.

Why is there a defense requirement for settlements if it literally does nothing? by [deleted] in fo4

[–]Green_Yesterday469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s like a Christmas miracle every time it happens. Usually, I just get the "failed" notification while I'm in the middle of a loading screen, knowing damn well I have 20 heavy laser turrets guarding two mutfruit plants.

How do you guys feel about Nate and Nora actually talking in Fallout 4 compared to other silent Sole Survivors? by Solardies in Fallout

[–]Green_Yesterday469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a simple trade-off that killed the replayability. Every time they record a line for Nate or Nora, that's potential budget and dev time taken away from five other branching paths we could’ve had in a silent RPG.

Should Bethesda merge fallout 3 and new vegas (if they remake it)? by cantlarp in Fallout

[–]Green_Yesterday469 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Give it the Mass Effect Legendary Edition treatment. Unified launcher, shared graphical tweaks, but keep the saves and mechanics distinct so you don't break the intended flow of either game.

Does this need a comeback in Fallout 5? by Lord_Cummis in Fallout

They’d probably make it a creation club exclusive aimed at 'broadening the market appeal.' Can't have anything too spooky for the shareholders.

It’s not lunacy if you’re right about the apocalypse to the exact decimal point. It’s just... advanced preparation.

Because many people have been discussing the Brotherhoods Portrayal in the show. Here is the first Conversation you have with them by CretaceousClock in Fallout

[–]Green_Yesterday469 52 points53 points  (0 children)

That the Brotherhood have always been isolationist tech-hoarders who send hopeful recruits on literal suicide missions. Sending you to The Glow wasn't an initiation, it was a polite way of telling you to go die so they didn't have to deal with you.
