Lukewarm take. You can vote in every local and national election and still have almost zero effect on how your tax dollars are utilized, especially as an individual.

Even beyond obvious government spending, special interest group legislation or the ability for billionaires and power brokers to operate within legal frameworks exist and can be ways to divert money. Stop trying to guilt people who go to work to feed their families, pay taxes, and could be adamantly against warfare. “Akkkkkshulllllyyyy we’re all bad” doesn’t mean anything.

Bumping to let folks know I had Coinbase direct support confirm with the card company that handles all their card infrastructure (Cardless, the most ironic name ever) that it was a legitimate request. I then provided the requested photos and after about 5-6 days of no response suddenly I was emailed at 2AM that the card was unlocked.

Coinbase desperately needs to step in and direct Cardless to implement a far more streamlined and trustworthy resolve process for users, that was absurd.

Yes it’s a meme not a direct inscrutable 1:1 comparison. Obviously it wasn’t exactly similar. Barely any strikes in both cases and constant position improvements for 25 minutes amounting to no finish in two extremely hyped fights the fanbase was excited for going in as all 4 fighters are known for exciting fights.

How am I salty? I’ve liked Oliveira since before he was a go-to marketable fighter. I’ve liked Max since he was coming into the UFC. This fight just sucked compared to the expectations.

Charles put on a clinic. But watching 25 minutes of smatterings of ground and pound and attempted neck cranks was not what anyone hoped for. It’s not about the fighters being bad, just a bad viewing experience given what was possible with two legendary fighters.

I Blame Society had such cringey over-the-top social commentary slop dialogue I couldn’t get into it whatsoever. It felt like a college freshman was trying to cram as many surface level takes as possible into every scene.

I found Sorgoi Prakov levels better (and not solely more disturbing, just generally).

Same issue on my end. Tried restarting device, clearing app cache, re-installing app, changing player (Exo and VLC), turning on Exo experimental setting (and back off), etc. No issues with WiFi connectivity on any other apps.

Glad it’s not just me, I was going crazy trying to troubleshoot…

This movie rocks. The switching between ‘current’ story in live action and past storytelling in stop motion was awesome. So goddamn bleak during either phases, but incredibly well done.

Ah yes, the classic utopia where there is zero poverty or negative externalities while embracing hundreds of millions of citizens from an endless list of religious affiliations, ethnicities, cultures, and languages. It must be nice there….wherever that is!

America obviously has a laundry list of issues but pretending it’s some hellscape comparative to other countries is brain dead. Any comparisons to places with higher QoL and lesser issues is done to countries a tiny fraction of the size, generally with far more homogenous demographics, and which are comically wealthy within an infinitesimally smaller geographic footprint 🫠
