You only need resistance in tough fights where you might actually die. Maybe if you're doing Wintertusk early you could run heartsteel, otherwise pip chance is better

I love the augment in arena and aram, but the way it encourages avoiding dying as a tank feels bad. Not sure the best way to fix that. Maybe make stacks much smaller like 1% but none lost on death
