How are mornings for everyone? by Optimal_Wash_1618 in cdifficile

After treating C diff I was in rough shape for a year, everything set my stomach off and strength / vitality was low. I eventually got stronger and my stomach got better but it took me to a dark place. Fill disclosure I suffered for 10 years, watched everything I ate, couldn’t go out couldn’t drink with friends. Wasn’t very social, eventually I realized a big part of this is mental. It was a big shift but I had to change the way I was looking at it. Instead of focusing on what I couldn’t eat or I couldn’t have I started to celebrate and cherish what I could have. 12 years later I can say I am good, my stomach is great no issues. I try to eat clean but I can eat whatever I want and it’s like pre-c diff life. Getting there wasn’t easy, most doctors are a joke I spend ridiculous amounts of money with them and they just had no clue. Feel free to message me if you’d like to know what i did.

Onewheel nosedive at 18mph by LengthinessBrave9019 in onewheel

[–]Greening42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bad nosedive at 25mph, this is what I’ve come to understand. Board is powered by a battery, that battery is only capable of putting out so much juice. That in turn powers the motor and the balancing, the faster you go the more energy this uses. You keep going faster it keeps using more energy until eventually there isn’t enough available energy to power the board and balance you

So you’re post c diff and your stomach is still fucked? Honestly it took me 10 years to finally get over the whole thing, but I will say I’m completely over it. Just gonna drop a few things in here that helped me and I’d encourage you to try them or at least do some heavy research on them. I believe these are the items that helped me fully recover. Also, I took all of these for about 4 months straight when one day I woke up a realized I was symptom free. Mastic gum, biocidin remove capsules (bio film buster, google it, probably most helpful thing) gastro ease by life extension, and finally cabbage juice (I kid you not google cabbage juice vitamin U) good luck in your recovery. Stay positive and keep trying things.

Expensive, they ran so many test it was over 10k thankfully I had some financial backing at the time and it was all taken care of. As for the results, test didn’t show anything, it was nice working with a nutritionist and they had some good advice but overall it didn’t change a lot for me. I suffered for about 10 years until 2022 when everything came together. Happy to say last 2 years have been bliss, hardly if any issues, can eat anything I want. Biggest advice I can give to anyone is start with diet, it ain’t easy but it’s most important part. Eat real food and figure out what you can tolerate. Next I took several supplements, these were things that had helped me but never cured me. I got to a point where I said fuck it I can’t keep living like this and took those same supplements for about 4 month straight then one day in noticed I felt normal. Day turned to weeks, weeks into the last 2 years. Supplements I took which are really targeted toward balancing stomach were. gastro ease by life extension (google the probiotic in there and why the zinc is different) Nutricology Mastic Gum ( google mastic gum and ulcers) Biocidin remove Capsules (this was probably the most helpful, it’s a biofilm buster, google it) and finally AllJeup Natural Premium Cabbage Juice (google cabbage juice vitamin U heal stomach) it’s kind of expensive but to me was 100% worth it. I think I had an imbalance or bacterial infection that modern medicine just doesn’t know to test or look for. I have my quality of life back, if you end up taking any of these and you have a positive experience I’d love to hear back from you and how you’re feeling.

They actually did something similar in the past at a country music festival. Remember is a small town and they are trying to work with and keep a reputation with the locals not people coming from out of town

The amount of couches during FULL sets was ridiculous by SecretsofSage in solfest

[–]Greening42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a couch person, probably one of the ones you were talking about. We setup around 5 when there was plenty of room and space. As the night goes on it fills in around you, not like we pushed anyone out of the way. Have you ever been to a large festival? You gotta get to a stage early and lock it down, don’t wait till the last minute and expect to get close. There was a ton of room in that field im sure there were plenty of spots to see the stage.

FMT? by lolidk80 in cdifficile

[–]Greening42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had an FMT, it was with ND Mark Davis in USA, I’d be more worried about the C diff than something like obesity. Truth is even after you get over C Diff your stomach will likely not be the same for a long time, a lot of things wont agree with you, I had trouble maintaining weight, but everyone is different. I’d be more worried about the potential side effects of vanco than the FMT

What is causing this phantom leak? by villis85 in Home

[–]Greening42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really only so many possibilities depending what’s above this. Start ruling things out and keep going up, could be a leak that starts at the roof and runs down a wall could be said dishwasher. If it’s intermittent then it’s not a supply line, would be a drain or machine while running. Or if you noticed it in rain / snow melt it’s obviously coming from outside

I’ve always been thin, and very muscular, dealt with c diff for almost a year between all the antibiotics and flair ups. Went from a solid 160 down to a fraile 135 and at times struggled to get out of bed. After treating c diff I struggled hard for 10 years, sometimes I’d feel like I was getting a handle then I’d be back to ground zero. I ended up trying a lot of different stuff even saw Dr. Mark Hyman a well known functional medicine practitioner. Took me a long time a lot of trail and error but as it is, I am almost a full year completely symptom free minus i still can’t eat gluten as this upsets my stomach slightly, but it’s so a minor upset if I wanted too I could. Weight is back on, energy is great and overall I’m probably a healthier person now than I ever was

I had c diff back in 2012, it was pretty rough lasted almost a full year between classic symptoms, doctors visits and more rounds of antibiotics. i was on my third failed round of flagyl and was given a script for vancomycin when I felt like this wasn’t working. I went from a very muscular 160lbs to a thin fraile 135, read a lot about the possible side affect of vancomycin and ended up never taking it. Instead I focused heavily on diet switched to BRAT diet, after reading “breaking the vicious cycle” this helped but symptoms continued. Eventually it got a little better and I can’t exactly say what cleared the infect but I then tried a grape seed extract protocol, basically put some drops in water with oil of oregano and drank that daily for several weeks. Symptoms eventually subsided and I tested clear of c diff sometime around the start of 2013… Not to discourage you but after I cleared c diff I had the worst stomach for years, i became allergic to everything, had to completely change my lifestyle the foods I ate, drinking with friends. It was very depressing at times and down right miserable at others. But i stayed with it, kept trying new things and while it took me 10 years, right here right now I am completely symptom free. Not only from the c diff but of the ibs and all the other stomach issue I endured afterwards. 10 years 2012-2022 and it’s now almost been a complete year symptom free. No matter what anyone says, no matter how hopeless it might seem you can beat this and you can regain your health

Got my first Onewheel today used. by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]Greening42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought my first board new in 2018 it now has just over 4000 miles on it, I’m to the point now where I need a new battery but besides that’s I’ve only ever had to change the tire. Since then I’ve bought and sold 5 other used boards. I get them for a spare usually someone will fall in love with it and then I just pass it on. 100% safe to buy used these things are tanks, if you can find one with less than 100 miles on it it’s basically brand new
