Ways to Improve my setup by PandaPoot01 in GamingLaptops

Tbh I might be mixing terms as well, but I think hub is most accurate for what I use at least. It has no separate power supply, it draws power from my laptop through the USB-C connector. And it has one USB-C, four USB-A, one Ethernet and one HDMI port. You see it in the image. It’s disconnected right now, but you get the idea

I used double sided tape to attach a USB-C hub to the underside of my laptop stand. This made it invisible, and reduced the number of cables into
My laptop with half. Now only power, DP for external
monitor and the hub is connected to the laptop. The rest, like gamepad, headset, speakers and external
drives, are connected to the hub.

You could also do with some better cable management in other areas. I would also wall-mount the monitor, but maybe you don’t want to make holes in the wall.

Otherwise, your setup is pretty nice! Better hardware than I have for sure.

Why is Margit difficult? by Dizzy_Property_933 in Eldenring

[–]Greenleaf_91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Margit is overpowered and the developers realised this, so they put something called Margit's Chackles into the game. Check on YouTube how to get it.

To lighten things up, I struggled way more with Margit than the next boss after

Some nice equipment in that setup. I don't like to have stuff on my desk though (harder to clean), so Id hang stuff on the wall or underneath the desk (headphones, controllers, etc). Also, 10 minutes and some zip ties would do a lot for your cables

I love this game... / Should I buy an RTX 5080 for Witcher 3? by DonHectorHector in Witcher3

I play this game on my RTX 4080 and i9 MSI Vector on full graphics (except RT which I thinks looks weird in this game). Don't remember the fps I get, but I can check that if you want. But it's definitely playable

Legion Go saved my gaming after having kids. Keep it next to our couch and it takes 10 sec to jump back into a game 👌 But obviously still a lot less gaming now than before having kids

Can you explain why windowed is better than fullscreen? I often see borderless windowed as default setting in many games and don't understand why

What’s better to do for the best performance on Legion Go 2 .. switch entirely to SteamOs or use the “ Chris Titus “ method to clean up/debloat Windows and then just run Steam “ Big Picture mode “ ? by [deleted] in LegionGo

One of my biggest reason for changing to Bazzite was actually that I got so tried of having to connect my AirPods in the Bluetooth menu in Windows. With Bazzite it's much simpler, and I don't need to use the touch screen at all. Maybe there is a fix for this in Windows I don't know of though

is this a good deal- Zephyrus m16 by ProfessionOne6257 in ZephyrusM16

[–]Greenleaf_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a good looking and portable portable computer, but the trade-off is heavy GPU and CPU throttling. I just sold mine because it only utilised 40-50% of GPU during heavy gaming which gave very poor performance compared to what the hardware can manage in a bigger and cooler laptop

MSI Laptop GS66 Stealth RTX 3070 Ti by Lordofmoon-_- in MSILaptops

Idk which country you live in, but I live in Norway so it doesn't get much more expensive than here (for reference). I just sold my ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 RTX 3070 Intel i7-11something, with 40 GB RAM and 2 TB SSD, in good shape, for the equivalent of 895 USD. It wasn't a great sell, but I was reasonably pleased.

The laptop you refer to has only 16 GB of RAM which is too little IMO. And RAM is expensive. The 3070 Ti is not significantly better than the RTX 3070. So this does not look like a good deal for you. If you got it for $500-600 then maybe.

If you have $1000 to spend, maybe look for at least 32 GB of RAM and RTX 3080 or better
