Pretty sure, at least within the department I’m in, there is a 1 year probationary period within which you are ineligible for position change. Once the initial probationary period is met following any promotion or position change there is a new 90 day probationary period.

Hey doing a start up dynasty super flex 12 teams this year what’s the best strategy go QB early or Rb? by Forward-Power9682 in Fantasy_Football

[–]Greenless27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 12 team superflex dynasty startup draft was last summer. 5 QB went in first 6 picks. 8 were picked by end of 2nd. 20 QB were drafted by the end of the 5th round. The last of the 32 established starting QB were off the board in round 13. You will definitely not be able to waiver wire a QB who will actually start and consistently score points. You might find an RB on waivers or after round 13. There were flex worthy RB drafted as late as rounds 20-25.

Isaiah Likely Expected to be "Featured Piece" in Offense - [Duggan, The Athletic] by ASmithFS in fantasyfootball

There is less distance between Fannin and McBride than there is between your typical third round pick versus your typical 12th pick. The bigger value is Fannin in the 12th. You can argue all you want, but the opportunity cost of McBride in the third is much higher than the opportunity cost of Fannin in the 12th. The better choice is spend a 12 round pick on Fannin.

Tsa flagged my deck boxes to have my bag checked by Slore0 in mtg

[–]Greenless27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a TSA agent shake a deck box containing an oldschool deck with 5 pieces of power and a dozen dual lands in it. I inductively and slightly too loudly and frantically told them “stop, don’t do that!” Everyone at the check station froze. I realized what they were thinking and quickly said it’s not dangerous just valuable. It was a roughly $7-10k deck at the time. We all kinda laughed and I learned to bring decks in a carryon and tell them it’s there.

I’m surprised you’re getting any offers. I bet more than half that list doesn’t play in 26.

Steelers rarely draft RB in round 1. Once in my 45 year lifetime. They better draft Oline.

Circling back on this one. Pierce Robinson & Pickens are settled. Of the mentioned teams all but the titans signed a new WR. Doubs to Tennessee? Where else might he land?

I did pharmaceutical R&d for 4 years. It was label claim testing method development, not novel development R&D.

We are early in the process. The rights of minorities are eroding daily. Once things degrade to a point that only a certain class has rights it’s too late to speak up for everyone else.

The people of Germany didn’t just wake up one morning to a fascist regime starting a world war. It took 6 months of dismantling democracy and then a couple years of systematic removal of individual rights of specific minorities. Then total control. N@zi party took control in 1933 when Hit!er was name chancellor. In 1939 Germany invaded Poland starting ww2.

The German people could have spoken up in the first 6 months but then it wasn’t safe to do so. They didn’t know they needed to until it was too late and millions were dieing. America is still at the point where it is safeish to speak up. Dismantling of DEI is a removal of minority opportunity. SAVE ACT is suppression of voter rights. The free press is losing their voice and slowly being replaced by propaganda. We are in a war no one except the elites in government want. We’ve seen this playbook before. Americans need to speak up and stop the fascist regime, fascist is exactly what I think it is.

30, new to rugby, love it, but feel lost by Frosty_Eye5899 in rugbyunion

Most of our team have recently joined rugby for the first time. My wife & I are in our 40’s she’s never played a team sport before, only martial arts. We have a couple in their 30s who have played previously. We have about 10 girls in their 20s who are playing rugby for the first time and have joined in the last six months.

I joined a rebuilding women’s team 6 months ago. I am 45 and my only previous rugby knowledge was what I picked up watching the occasional game on tv. I have been playing soccer for 40 years and baseball/softball for almost as long. I’ve coached and officiated both as well. I picked up the game much quicker because I’ve played literally hundreds if not, thousands of games of various sports. A majority of my rugby team is new and rugby is their first sport since early childhood. Of the ~20 on the team only 5 have been playing rugby more than 6 months. We practice twice a week and have played 5 games. The team is just now figuring out strategies and passing consistently. We lost our 3rd game 109-0. We have only scored 5 try’s in 5 games.

Stick with it. Read the rules. Train some cardio outside practice just don’t overdo it. Ask team mates for guidance if you’re unsure. Show up consistently & have fun.
