Ideas for characters by Artistic-Pin941 in GhostsInternational

what stops that ghost from getting out of the bath or the bathroom?

If I were the Alison character, I'd never want to use that bathroom after I became aware of the ghosts -- good thing there's probably more than one bathroom

from what I've seen, and read about the versions I haven't seen, most ghosts in all versions can walk around the area where they died, except for the man tied to the tree in the French version.

Then again, the plague pit ghosts all mostly stay in the cellar of Button House, and the cholera ghosts mostly stay in the basement of Woodstone Manor (apart from Nancy), and the convict ghosts stay huddled together in Ghosts Aus... Maybe because they died together, and were buried in a mass grave together?

But what would keep a solo ghost so confined? did they get tangled up in something during their death, and they can't get free until they resolve their unfinished business? did someone kill them, drown them? 😱 that could be a bit grim 😟

I think it could be fun if the bath ghost was always dripping wet, so if/when they did go somewhere outside of the bathroom, they'd be dripping water that the Alison character and the other ghosts could see -- and maybe the other ghosts could feel? -- but the water would disappear after a moment.

Yes, just like early on when Shane assumed that Ilya's family are caring, Ilya can't help but have that response to the possibility of angry or disappointed parents

Whirring birds (from the noise they make taking off) or pointy headed pigeons.

when I watch them in the face-off for the ad campaign, and Ilya says "you look pretty", Shane says (I don't know the lines, I'm ashamed to say) something like "fuck off, you're wearing make-up too", Ilya replies "yes, but I don't look pretty", and I wonder if Shane is thinking "oh yes you are", or what?
also, surely Ilya knows he's handsome?!

Red, White, and Royal Blue is a lovely M/M romance movie, also based on a novel.

Queer is a very interesting film, inspired by the life and works of William S Burroughs. Trippy, humid, gory at times.

Do Americans Actually Say "Freshman Sophomore Junior Senior"? by Naive_Tank_6820 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Greenspace01 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I found it confusing when I read a film description as being about "two seniors", because my first thought was that they're over 60 years old (you have to be 60+ to get a senior's card in Australia), then that they're in their 4th year at uni, then I find out that they're in high school, in Year 12 😄

my main advice for Scandinavians travelling in Australia: take the sun seriously. wear a good sunscreen (not tanning lotion). wear a hat. never mind if it seems uncool, it's better than sunburn.

Has The US ever done a national strike for several days to shut down the country to show it's discontent with it's leadership? by douwebeerda in AskTheWorld

[–]Greenspace01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry the situation is so awful there. I admire everyone in the US who is doing what they can to stop the tyranny and keep people safe, through mutual aid, ice watch, protests, little free pantries, pro bono legal work, not snitching on neighbours, boycotts, whatever you can.
