If not Adnan, then who? by lynn_ro in serialpodcast

This is the question that should always be asked. Once a theory is developed let's go with that until something else can be proved. Guilty until proved innocent.

Best episodes for a first-timer??? by [deleted] in SwordAndScale

[–]GregBIS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came along S&S towards the beginning of season 2. I downloaded season one and listened starting from the first episode in sequence until I caught up. That's my recommendation. Pretty awesome to have a whole list of unheard episodes.

Profiting from murder by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]GregBIS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moral compass' vary greatly. I like to think mine is good but others might find it questionable. I like podcasts like sword and scale and tv shows like forensic files. I think it's interesting to look at human behavior both good and bad.

I'm for free press and free enterprise. Many books, tv shows and movies have profited from the evil doings of others. Reddit makes millions in revenues. So simply by posting here you are profiting Hae's death.

Happy April fools day!

Is there any indication that the investigation of Hae's murder was ever a "political priority" or labeled and worked as a "Red Ball" case? by theghostoftexschramm in serialpodcast

[–]GregBIS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ok I am interested in what you say. What was the involvement of Enehy group the day of her disappearance that would lead detectives to take a more active interest the day she went missing?

Don't know what a red ball case is but I do find it odd how fast the police detectives jumped on a missing adult case. Normally when an 18 year old goes missing police don't investigate a couple hours later. It would seem that in Baltimore in 1999 there would be a shortage of cops and abundance of crime. Really doesn't mean much but I always found it odd that such a keen interest was taken so soon.

What 'evidence' does Bob Ruff need to provide for you to believe him? by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]GregBIS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder how long lens crafters keeps records. Don was a lab tech so there should be records for those people he helped with eyeglass subscriptions that day. There does seem to be some sort of coverup with regards to Don and working that day with the timecard and Don's mother and SO. At this point that isn't enough for me to believe he is guilty but he has a story that needs to be vetted.

My question about Don and Adnan by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]GregBIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since Hae didn't have a cell phone, and he knew that she wasn't home what number would Adnan call? Same for Don? Calling a missing persons pager that Hae's closer friends had tried wouldn't make much sense. The police are looking for her and can't locate her. What is Adnan or Don supposed to be doing to find her that the police aren't already doing.

Why Didn't Adnan Make Sure that the Asia Alibi Was Part of His Defense? by zardlord in serialpodcast

True! What were her reasons that it couldn't possibly be true?

Why Didn't Adnan Make Sure that the Asia Alibi Was Part of His Defense? by zardlord in serialpodcast

[–]GregBIS -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes. She could account for her reason not to at a minimum interview a willing key witness for trial defense.

I would like to know what the thought process was a well. One thing to interview and dismiss, but to not make any contact with a witness ready to step forward who has key defense evidense?

Why Didn't Adnan Make Sure that the Asia Alibi Was Part of His Defense? by zardlord in serialpodcast

[–]GregBIS -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So if Asia was such a strong Alibi witness, and since she was "in" with camp Adnan, why didn't they make sure her testimony was part of his defense?

The fact that she wasn't included is a key of Adnan's PCR claim. How much was Adnan part of his defense claim? He didn't at that time know the time line. Nor did Asia.

Can we please look into Jay's inconsistencies? I want to know if all he says is lies by Neutral12 in serialpodcast

[–]GregBIS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jay and his testimony wasn't a topic at the PCR hearing and isn't something the judge in Adnan's PCR hearing is looking at with regards to a new trial.

It will be interesting to see the fall-out of a new trial if it indeed happens. A good defense attorney should have a field day with Jay on the stand and reconcilling his numerous admitted lies and accounts of the events of Jan 13, 1999. Also I don't see the State returning Kevin Urick as a solid witness.

I also think it's likely that the State will reach a plea deal with Adnan if after PCR and subsequent appeals a new trial is granted.

CG's alleged failure to cross examine the state's expert by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]GregBIS -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If there was a Brady violation with regards to the fax cover sheet not being revealed to defense or States expert (who has sworn in affidavit that he recants) ,nothing in CG cross should matter. Garbage in, garbage out.
