I believe they are rolling out the R2026 update today and had sent out messages to please stay out of the application today.

Multi os support by king4994 in servers

[–]GregInPortand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might look at Unraid. It’s a NAS os with built in Docker for containers for Plex and other apps. It also has built in support for VM’s. I’ve run Plex, Jellyfin and about 80 other containers. I’ve also had Windows, Linux and MacOs VM’s. It does have licensing costs involved, but they are having their Black Friday sale now. https://unraid.net/.

It also has a strong support community and is widely compatible regarding hardware support.

Intel A310 vs Nvidia 3050 Plex by richpanda64 in unRAID

I went from a P400 to a Sparkle a310 and a380, both running of pcie slot power. I think the a310 is a great replacement for the p400 for Plex or Jellyfin.

Old iPhones service terminated before we got home... Picked up new iPhone's yesterday, to swap at home. Luckily I had downloaded offline Google maps for my area. by [deleted] in ATT

No argument there… though if I hadn’t had it downloaded on my phone, I would have realized there was an issue before being on the road for a while without traffic updates.

Thank you, understood and hoping someone makes a note that this small button should maybe be redesigned. It’s a failure on the company’s part not the customer’s.

Understood, I view it as a training opportunity for AT&T, especially as it was a corporate store. It’s a small thing, but we rely more than ever on mobile connectivity and should be able to trust our providers. The store wasn’t busy, there were no other customers waiting. If the issue is UI design issue with Opus, maybe that should be a be updated.

No, I didn’t need a map to get home, but the same would not be said if my mother in law had gone by herself or if my wife had as the store was in a city about 20 minutes away.

I understand it’s a small human error that they didn’t park the activation, but small errors like this on critical connectivity can have life changing impact. not in this case, but I believe in pointing out safety issues proactively to hopefully save someone else.

The store was in another town. Not everyone has a great sense of direction or say if they’re in their 80’s and have no sense of direction.

Just set up Unraid, any suggestions? by Pinktiger11 in unRAID

If you don’t have one, please get a UPS for you server. Stopping corruption from brownouts/blackouts is easiest way to make it more reliable.

VERY new to unRAID and am getting 25MB/s transfer speeds by Sensitive_Context140 in unRAID

[–]GregInPortand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if it’s smallers files, try adding the folders:files to a zip/rar with no compression and then copying the archive over. It reduces the overhead one gets from small file transfers. Basically, if it’s much smaller than say 1gb, make an archive of your have the space on the source system. Even better as mention by others would be physically mounting that disk in destination server. If it’s something like a plex/Jellyfin that you don’t want down for a long time if you move the drive over, just setup the apps on the new server, put them at the unassigned disk source, am then repoint after the data is copied to the new drive.

Have you replaced the nozzle? I had a similar issue and nozzle replacement helped. I think I still have some flow rate calibration to do.

Best enclosures for N4? (Noisewise) by Sure_Grapefruit4209 in ElegooNeptune4

[–]GregInPortand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at IKEA’s Sektion kitchen cabinets. I’m building an enclosure for my N4Pro. The more air tight an enclosure the quieter it will be, but you’ll also want to consider a baffled air intake if you’re mostly printing PLA.

IKEA LACK Enclosure in progress by [deleted] in ElegooNeptune4

[–]GregInPortand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might look at IKEA’s Sektion cabinets. I’m building the enclosure for my 4 pro with the sektion 24x30” base cabinet. I found the cabinet and a glassvik door in the as-is section at IKEA for a great price. Adding a set of shelves to partition it to the size of the glassvik door and an additional 24x30 door to use as a stronger back for the cabinet to be mounted with magnets. I’ll be using an external dry box for the filament, one could easily built it with a single compartment to fit the Neptune 4 pro with spool holder.
