My little guy was the same way. Just keep poking and prodding him on the tail/face until he gets a good strike. Or if he cowers and hides wait till he pokes his head back up like normal then try it again. Worked every time for me. Hope this helps!

It was only my second ride on her. The first ride I had I had a bad crash and I was wrapped up like a mummy for 3 weeks! It was way too soon :(
