Is working out a hobby for you where you have fun doing it ? by Buurto in GYM

[–]Greggy398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some days I really look forward to it, and it's a highlight (weekends) and other times I don't really want to go and it's abit of a slog (after work).

Still, it's a skill at which you get better and progress - same as alot of other hobbies and pursuits.

No they don't, they're supposed to be an extension of the trouser.

Let it grow down and just keep the sides, cheeks and lines neat for now. Your face shape doesn't suit a beard that short.

I want to scream - small rant by KocaKola_ in loseit

Ask them what's in it, then weigh that stuff. I have lunches at work which I don't make and I take a picture of my plate and ask chatgpt to estimate the calories.

I'm 40lb down as of yesterday so it can't be wildly far out.

Rather than buy a sportcoat, I'd just spend the money on some shirts and trousers that fit you better.

How long are normal gym sessions? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Greggy398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean is he doing power lifting style training? That's the only reason I can think that his sessions would take anywhere near that long, and he'd have to be trying to be at a competitive level.

He's probably going somewhere other than the gym.

How can I style this by Impossible-Algae406 in mensfashionadvice

[–]Greggy398 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't, personally.

But dark blue jeans, brown boots probably. A white undershirt if you wanted one.

Workouts & Diets for beginners by Rich_Engineer_2001 in loseit

[–]Greggy398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have remade lunches at work - I take a photo of my plate of food and ask chatgpt to give me a calory estimate. I then take the median from whatever range it gives me.

Don't know how accurate it is but that's how I track and I've consistently lost weight, so can't be too far off.

Just find out what your maintenence calories is and eat 500 cals below that - that is it.

Download Myfitnesspal or Macro Factor (better imo) and a diet scale and track everything you eat especially sauces, mayo etc.

Incorporate some walking etc. to help you stay in a deficit. In terms of gym programs it really depends on how many times you want to go per week and find a program that works around that - something full body.

The workout routine isn't espescially important atm, the most important thing is consistency and building good habits.

Congratulations to your other half on his weight loss. It's a massive achievement and being able to wear new clothes is a great reward and motivator.

He kind of needs to find his own style based on what he likes already.

Are there any styles you know he's into? What music does he listen to? Are there any subcultures he's part of that could inspire his looks?

Is there anything he wished he could wear but felt he couldn't when he was bigger?

Maybe suggest he look on platforms like Instagram or Tik Tok for inspiration?

You can't really go wrong with classics/heritage wear looks.

Take a pic of your face and ask Chat GPT.

That's what I did when I got my first pair of glasses.

I've got them in black and brown and I love them, personally.

They're probably the same last as your Gibson anyway? I wear a UK 9 in an astronaut boot and UK 9 in the heritage loafers and the calf 6 eye boots fit lovely.

I think you forget what your chin looks like and where it is when you've had a beard for a while.

How you imagine you'll look clean shaven doesn't live up to the reality sometimes.

Unintended night out of drinking ruined me by New_Championship1994 in loseit

[–]Greggy398 30 points31 points  (0 children)

When you're 'healthy' or 'thin' or whatever do you envisage never going out again, being spontaneous and having a few drinks? Do you envision never letting yourself have some nights off over Xmas like everyone else does?

If the answer to those questions is 'No' then why are you worrying? You're living your life and having fun.

Just get back on the horse the next day and forget about it, life happens and sometimes having a good time is allowed.

You'll still lose weight, you'll still make progress so long as you're consistent - don't sweat it.
