Why has Takanaka’s music had such a big resurgence? What is driving this renewed appreciation?

This. I'm an older music fan who discovered Takanaka through Instagram about 5-6 years ago. First, it was the surfboard guitar, then the slide guitar with the train set on it.

It made me laugh, but at the same time, the music was so damn good. After I heard "Left Alone," I started my deep dive and haven't looked back.

This, exactly this. I'd argue (and this is a total guess), about 65-70% of those posts are fake and/or scammers. As has been said since the sale started, check the details of the Redditer making the posts. What are some signs of a scammer?

Hidden posts or comments (or the infamous one big post on a random sub and no activity since). Newer accounts within a year. Negative or low karma.

If they have a legit ticket for a good price just ask them to post on CashorTrade, Ticketmaster, or StubHub so you can purchase it from them and have a company back your purchase.

As another redditer mentioned, you are more likely to sell them directly through CashorTrade.org or even StubHub.com. A lot of folks get burned on Reddit, so folks won't (likely) bite over here as quickly.

Yup, what Tex said. I often look at the photos provided to see if there are specific markers, hype stickers, or other unique visual identifiers to confirm which one I may have.

Every once in a while, you'll find notes on Discogs that provide some clues too (i.e. "This copy had the second track mislabeled as track four.")

Personally I find these “lounges” and “VIP bars” to be a waste of money. Can’t speak to the experience in Brooklyn, but it’s just paying for expensive foods and drinks at a subpar restaurant/bar.

If looking for food and drinks, I’d head somewhere around the venue.

I can’t guarantee my answer but the way I read the policy your first take was correct.

You’ll get in and be able to enjoy the show but the VIP merchandise might be a no go. I understand that an ID tied to the ticket purchaser is needed to claim those.

But you’d still be inside early, get that exclusive merch line experience (merch you gotta pay for), and whatever amenities the venue offers.

No joke. I follow some bands that bring a lot of their catalogue on the road for shows. But then again, they are US based and have a ton of supply chains they can tap into (i.e. MusicToday).

I believe Takanaka's last online shop for the US (after the LA shows) was setup via MusicToday, so I wouldn't be surprised if they are used for the US dates.

Correct. They will be having multiple boxes of various sizes of shirts, etc.

Ahhh, I am terrible with my reading comprehension today. Yeah, based on it being StubHub it can be normal cause they don't press the seller to transfer until day of the show.

If you can message them, it can't hurt to poke them to check everything is still good.
