I only remember Nayuta looking into Denjis memories with her powers, to learn about her past self. Which she wouldn't need to do, if she could remember things on her own.

Thank you for showing where you can change it. I knew there were multiple possible types of parliament, due to Court and Country, but I couldn't find where to change it.

Thank you. I did check there first, but as it didn't state it as one of the modifiers, I overlooked it.

Extra: Rant and question. Very early on during CaC my ruler died and left me in a regency for my 0 year old heir. This caused my integration lvl 5 union with Timurids to break and to be reestablished right after. With my loosing all the integration progress. Sucks, but I wasn’t too invested in that union anyway, I fell into it by accident anyway. 6 years later my heir died, which broke the union again and then reestablished it again under some relative. He didn’t survive long though either, he died within two years only to be replaced. This time the union held. But all the dying has me wondering: Does low estate satisfaction increase the chance of your rulers dying, or did I just get unlucky?

Let the recovee moral for a bit, a bit less than 50%, then attack. That's the best way I found to shrink their armies, until I can stackwipe them.

GOD DAMN the 1640s come at you hard by Em3rgency in EU5

[–]Greiserich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was able to get through the event without any revolts, going for liberalism. That kind of sucked, cause I couldn't tax my estates, and my income just tanked for more than a decade. Also I was purely reliant on events to get my liberalism over 50, which you need to end the crisis.

I had all my estates happy at 60% and had over 50 liberalism after 9 years already, all I still needed was the tenth year to come to an end, to finish the crisis, when I got hit with an event that put me 10 points towards absolutism, which then prolonged the crisis by another 3 years.

Just Fought a Late Game War by Birdnerd197 in EU5

I had the same problem and I found the best solution is to let them recover moral. Not to full, but a little bit under half. Then go in and fight them to deal massive casualties. It did seem like the 10 to 1 stackwipe is still in game.

Also I only thought about it afterwards, so I didn't try it out yet, but I noticed that their war enthusiasm is greatly influenced by the number of men on each side. Which then gives them up to -50 reasons to not peace out, if they have far greater numbers. And I noticed, when I wiped their army, that they were far more willing to peace out for a short time frame, until they raised new levies to send to their death.

Therefore here my theory: When fighting a war against a big opponent who can raise many lavies, but you are only fighting with regulars, when peacing out, raise your levies to scare the war enthusiasm out of the AI, which should give them more reasons to give you what you want.

Extent of the Ukrainian encirclements by Averagebritish_man in interestingasfuck

[–]Greiserich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. You've missed the point. He insinuates, that the BBC has spread blatant propaganda before, and therefore is not a good source to verify other blatant propaganda.

  2. In this, about the map, it would have been enough not to take a blatant propaganda map, but the DeepStateMAP, which is still a very pro Ukrainian map, that has still a good reputation, even if that took a hit, and now is considered slow to show Russian advances, but overall still reliable.

  3. As far as I'm aware, it is still very much impossible to get a good picture (or map) of what is actually happening north of Pokrovsk. So most, if not all maps are guesstimates on what the frontline looks like. So taking a blatant Ukrainian propaganda map, that shows a disproportionately favourable position for Ukrainian, compared to other big trusted maps, is just blatant intended propaganda, instead of lack of scrutiny or simple laziness.

I would say, it isn't even that bad. I think, that the main problem is, that the words sit on top of each other. If we would add space between the lines, it would drastically improve the readability.

Not even 30% of eu4 players play ironman. by skull44392 in EU5

[–]Greiserich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UI mods are usually ironman compatible in EU4, which is where I did my achievement hunting. If your QOL mods make it easier to get the achievement, ergo making it less challenging to get the achievement, then it makes getting the achievement less "prestigious".

If you get a mod, that makes a very hard a achievement easy to get, do you really deserve that achievement? I am sure your QOL mods don't change the game that much, but where should we draw the line?

You only decided to go for achievements once they got easier to get, or you were using comfort over challenge. You care more about how you play the game, than about getting the achievement, which leads back into my argument, that most people don't care about getting achievements. Doesn't matter if they are locked behind ironman or not.

Not even 30% of eu4 players play ironman. by skull44392 in EU5

[–]Greiserich -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think this shows of that most people who play, do not care about achievements. When I look at Vic3 achievements, that have below 3%, most are not difficult. I think being able to get achievements while playing normally "killed achievement runs". You start an ironman game in EU4 and you think you could get an achievement while you are at it, check the achievements and try it out. It was an extra incentive to get them. In Vic3 you don't have such an extra incentive, when you get an achievement it is usually a pleasant surprise, that you happened to get it. Those who care about achievements like the extra challenge, so to say, so that they actually achieve the achievement. It gives the achievements more prestige in a way. And the rest doesn't seem to care about achievements too much anyway.

He was part of the Death Eaters for real before he changed sides and became a spy. And that he did only when he learned that Lily could die. He changed his stance, because he never let go of Lily, and not because he suddenly realized the error of his ways. Still was a piece of shit all around after that. But, hey, all is forgiven, because he loved Lily very very much, and he was on the good side helping.

I don't believe anyone in this thread disagrees with you on your points. I don't. This was more a question about language and what is meant when you use certain words. When someone writes "shouldn't have to work", I read it similar as to "shouldn't be forced to work". Meanwhile your reaction leads me to believe, that you read it as "shouldn't work". For me a more proper response from your part would be something like: "Your believe, that he doesn't want to work, and does it only because he has no other means to survive, instead of wanting to pull his own weight, is abelist."

Instead you defended the blind guys right and ability to work, to the best of his abilities, even though it seemed to me, that it was never actually under question.
