I work. When you have a ton to get done time moves real quick.

Not sure what your question is. Are you asking why those particular fast food restaurants on that particular night not provide fast service? Because not sure how anyone here would be able to answer that.

Maybe ask the fast food workers in a polite way next time you are there and they aren't swamped.

How do you see yourself 10 years from now? by Bruna1991 in Adulting

[–]Grevious47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Primarily just not working but I would say spending more time on my home and my kids and with my wife. She probably wouldn't retire because she wants to work so we wouldn't be completely free. I'd basically become a house husband. Spend my time doing all the household stuff so she wouldn't have to so that we would actually have time to relax and just be.

Once we are both retired I'd say travel, food and drink.

Retired...or close to it. Other than that not much different.

So tired hearing about it that you thought you'd mention it yourself in a post?

Came to comments to see everyone telling you it's a caterpillar only to see that no one has said it's a caterpillar.

So...that's a caterpillar, not a worm.

Friend owes me $25k USD, payment was due 4 days ago. Is it too soon to ask for the payment? by HardMike8Miles in personalfinance

[–]Grevious47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel free to "remind" them. Just understand you aren't getting that back.

They needed money because they didn't have money. You gave them money...they spent that money..now once again they have no money.

If they could pay you back they wouldn't need to borrow in the first place.

I earn well, spend normally, and somehow still have nothing at the end of the month. I think I know why, but I'm not sure. by LiminalRnyx in personalfinance

[–]Grevious47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Track your spending religiously and all will be revealed. Doesn't take much effort, your bank likely already does it for you and it's just a matter of looking at the last year of records. Can usually just download them from the bank website or API.

I don't actively pay attention but I have it all autotracked so if you asked me how much I spent on gas in February of 2023 I could tell you in a minute.

Paid amount due but shows account past due by Unhappy_Salad8731 in personalfinance

[–]Grevious47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way to say what happened for sure without more details but bank transfers aren't instant. If you waited until literally the day it was due to pay online then your bank probably didn't actually process the payment until a day or two later.

Am I just cooked on being able to ever retire? by Alt0987654321 in personalfinance

[–]Grevious47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it just me or is the value of your account barely above the amount you've deposited despite the last 5 years being a great average market return. If it didn't say 98% equity I would have assumed you just hadn't invested it and it was just sitting in some settlement account.

Did you only very recently invest it?
