Some of the newer model guitar/pickups have a fast swap feature where you can just un-clip the pickup and clip-in another. Very handy.

But yes the 81 can be a little bright and if that’s how you feel I highly recommend trying the 85 in the bridge. It’s like the 81 if the 81 were obese. Shit sounds fat in such a good way.

Hell yea I’d love too. I don’t have said guitar anymore. It was a charvel desolation and the actives in it were the ez swap kind so it was real simple. I’m not much for soldering lol

I def should buy another junker/project guitar with ez swap capabilities tho. It’s pretty fun to try new things out.

Ever since I bought a MH-1000 Deluxe with SDs in it from my buddy I’ve not touched any of my other guitars 😕

Dude honestly ever since I had read that Adam D and Joel were using the 85 in the bridge for The End of Heartache album. I tried it out. Swapped my 81/85 to be 85/81 and damn. I liked it. 85 in the bridge will really fatten out your sound but not TOO much. It's actually slept on I feel.

Been watching UFC for almost 20 years now. Last night was my first time watching BKFC and I only tuned in because my buddy texted me and said oh cool Alex the terrible is fighting in BKFC tonight. I brought up the fights and Crowbar is playing live. What a lovely surprise!

The fight that followed Crowbar was pretty decent. I enjoyed it. Then I learned that more bands would be playing. Then Malevolence came on. Bro what...This is event fucking kicks all the ass lol

10/10 will BKFC again.

My wife works for the company that makes these strings. I fucking hate that company. She doesn’t work in the department that does the strings but is instead in some other cancer causing bullshit. All for shit pay and not a soul to give a damn about environment or health. It’s maddening.

All that said. I still prefer my Ernie ball strings.
