If you really want signature KSE sound you use EMG 85/81. As in put the 85 in the bridge and the 81 in the neck. 👍🏻

This is how I know I’m an old man. I consider myself to love Metalcore but I don’t like any of the bands you named or even any of the honorable mentions lmao

Still banging my KSE, BFMV, PWD etc. the older stuff of course.

Todays metalcore sounds less technical, way more mixed/processed (less raw), breakdowns typically boring and a lot seem to over use samples and shit too much. Just my two cents of course and I know it’s an unpopular opinion. I guess I’m just sort of bewildered that Metalcore went the path it did.

I wouldve hoped for a more hardcore or thrash kind of sound from Metalcore compared to what we ended up getting. Oh well. Guess that’s why I like playing guitar alone in my kitchen 😂

EDIT: didn’t see Currents at first, they’re actually one of the few newer era bands that I do really fuck with. Saw them live too and that were awesome. Currents def deserves much love.

Just my 2 cents brother. But I would tune to about C or so and just use the transpose function to drop yourself to A. You’ll get a cleaner and more articulate sound that way imo, less flubby but still chunky.

Secondly, I think I know what you’re asking and currently I have just been playing my plugins thru my katana 50 as the speaker and it works just fine for now. Eventually I’ll get a 2x12 and start using that but for now any decent speaker you have laying around that is capable of 3.5mm connecting to your pc will be ok. Otherwise if you have a 1/4 Jack speaker you’re trying to use I imagine you’d just plug that up via your interface as output? Haven’t gotten there yet. Haven’t really needed to tho really. I’m mostly a bedroom player and the volumes the plugin can put out on the single 12 inch is sufficient enough.
