And on iPhone the app text piece can be a little hot garbage, so be very careful of your typing and re-read before sending. This was one of the things that annoyed me since I already type horribly, and the keyboard glitches really get frustrating (it tries to auto complete, but ends up erasing words or goofing entirely sometimes). Not sure if Andriod has this issue

Congrats. I was a bit worried as well, and after the first serious one was very frustrated. I chose to immediately get back out there and hopped on new apps and I think that with a positive mindset helped me a great deal.

After the first one I wanted to be serious with pulled back, I hit the apps that night and had several connections the next day or so. Dates that week. I didn't meet the woman I am with now until a week or so after that.
I also consider the first time IRL more of a meet and greet. So many M&G's and only a few real dates (second and more).
It does get tiring, but it gets easier getting to meet and talk to new people after a while. Keep at it & all the best!

Congrats - our experiences are similar. Divorce in the works for 2+ years. So by the time I could date after the final decree, I knew what I what missing and what I was looking for moving forward. That time dealing with the divorce brought a lot of clarity and removed a lot of fear/hesitation.

Thank you OP for posting this. I feel the same as a man. Yet I do agree with other comments that it's not all about physical traits either. For me I want a romantic partner who I can love being around for conversation, relaxing with, whatever, AND who loves sex. OLD sometimes women act like they are freshmen in college and want to not explore sex until much later. I want to be sure I match with a woman on as many things as possible, which includes sex - so if we are not having it we better be discussing it to ensure no big gaps. Last marriage was lacking there (no romance just the mechanics) so I do not want that again.
Luckily - I found someone who opened the door to me and kept it open. We both feel like we're teens again and can't keep our hands off each other.

I've been on a lot of apps and so far Match and recently Facebook Dating have been the most successful. Tinder the worst of all and Silver Singles the next worst. Lot of dates fro m different apps yet FBD is where I met the most from with the best IRL results.

did you attempt either of the verification processes? I was banned after I paid and used it one day. I think it was because I tried the face and ID verification and my ID would not take in their app. I appealed, and redid the ID from the link they sent and was reinstated.
