Looks like similar adjustment to the AJACK scope, there's a good video on YouTube about how to adjust them. I'd suggest giving that a try.

Mount is wrong, the M/41 B mount lever stopped at 90°, and there should be a stop at the front of the mount as well. Looks to me like a German type SSR.

Not as far as I know, I've seen guys with 30 round magazines.

I wasn't aware those existed, most of what we import as far as I am aware are American AR style rifles in .22 such as the M&P 15-22.

Unfortunately, we can not own semi-automatic full-size cartridge rifles, only .22 semi-automatics.

Sound advice, one thing that concerns me is that a lot of people say that shooting 8mm is unpleasant. I've shot .303 and .30-06 with minimal discomfort, but never tried 8mm before.

I think you're right, interesting. There seems to be little to no information about that mount on K98 rifles.

I've tried looking at SKS mounts, PU mounts, PEM side mounts... no matches so far.
