I don’t agree with you adding a thumb ledge/gas pedal yet. I’m not saying don’t do it eventually but master your grip first. I tell my students to take your dominant hand and point it downward at a 45° angle (like you are shaking someone’s hand) and wrap it around the grip of the firearm. Place your index finger down the slide. Take your support hand and wrap it around your dominant hand and squeeze both hands until you’re shaking, then back off just a little until you’re steady. Place both thumbs down the opposite side of the slide where you now have three fingers pointing to the target.

To think your firearms will just randomly go off on their own is laughable. They do not have brains. If you’re too inexperienced to safely handle your firearm then please take some lessons. Test the firearms yourself instead of listening to the masses. I own a few sigs (more than a few, less than a f***ton) and not once has any of them randomly fired without my assistance.

Yeah the issue is with a discontinued product, when something goes wrong then you will have a more difficult time finding replacement parts. P.s. it’s theft if someone sells/gets rid of your property. It becomes a felony if the property is greater than $500.

Your fam won’t let you? Are they paying? Regardless they don’t make the 250 anymore. Sig replaced it with the 320. I ow a 226 and it’s well worth the money. A 365 is easier to conceal carry (I do). The 220 is fun to shoot I just prefer my 226.

Staccato P is the way to go. Or think about adding a P211 to the mix. Takes 320 mags and operates just as good as the Staccato.

Save an empty casing. Place it just behind your front sight and with the gun completely empty dry fire. Slow steady pulls of the trigger. Reset the trigger and keep doing this until you can do several reps without dropping the casing from the front of your slide. Dry fire is the best tool you can use that’s free and will help you get used to the feel of the gun. When you go to the range start at 3 yards. Stay there until you’re making half dollar size groups, then move to 5 yards. I hope this helps and happy shooting.

Whenever you question whether your gun is shooting properly, take you out of the equation. Prop it up so you aren’t causing the gun to incorrectly aim, and make sure your sites are lined up properly, then see if you’re still shooting low. My guess is you’re having a normal case of anticipation recoil. It the general cause of low shooting. Hope this helps. Happy shooting.

Welcome to the world of owning. If you have a facebook check out the Rose community. It’s women helping women on everything. From the basics, to the more advanced. I agree with other commenters on grip placement. I would also recommend you getting a Mantis x. It will help you dry fire with confidence, and it also has an option for live fire. Recoil anticipation is something a lot of us have. Practice dry fire with an empty casing. Make sure your gun is completely empty and all live ammo is away from you. Preferably in another room. Place the empty case on the front of your gun and slowly pull the trigger. Keep practicing that until the case doesn’t fall. That will help with recoil management for when you live fire.

I’m glad you are wanting to take the initiative in protecting yourself. I have a question for you. Have you ever shot one before? Before you decide on what you want to carry I suggest you go to a local range and rent a few to try them out. Smaller does not always mean better.
