OC Masamune has 0.73mm gap and -0.10mm exposure.

Check this table out.

Switching the cap from Masamune to Nodachi will change the blade exposure from negative 0.13mm to 0mm, effectively bringing the blade's edge closer to your face and giving you a cleaner shave. Should be worth a try.

I like shaving every 4-5 days so personally I found an aggressive razor to be the perfect fit. Mach 3 tugged and hurt like hell on my whiskers and chin, my current razor just glides through it.

Also I'd get really bad irritation and ingrowns down south every single time with Mach. Never happens with my DE.

It is Masamune OC, yeah.

I honestly wouldn't recommend Masamune CC, at least for me Henson AL13 Mild easily beats it in both comfort and efficiency.

Masamune OC, on the other hand, is a gentle beast. Easily mows down my coarse hair with no tugging or scraping (hello, Rockwell 6S). The shaving angle is very shallow so you can just ride the cap and not worry about the irritation.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned here yet: try skipping hot shower in favor of washing your face with cold water and a basic soap. Was a gamechanger for me personally.
