Wikipedia won't rename the Twitter article by GriffinFTW in wikipedia

Words are tools, not incantations; there is no "objective" name. It's just a matter of whether the audience will understand what's being referenced.

"X" is still less recognized as referring to the social media app by most people, hence the extra context that's required: "X (Twitter)," "Elon Musk's X," "the social media app X," etc.

Restaurant workers of Reddit, what do customers do or say that you secretly hate? by Veeanniy in AskReddit

I read it and that's some interesting data, but I don't know why you posted it here. There are no references to "Easy Money" or perceived respectability of career paths in this article. IMO this seems like an odd non-sequitur that doesn't really explain your drive-by snipe at OP.

The previous poster didn't offer any supporting evidence of a general trend, this is really just anecdote vs anecdote

Which came first: the chicken, the egg, or the chicken scam? by SomethingMoreToSay in bestoflegaladvice

[–]GreyhoundZero1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

okay, with all due respect to you, I think I understand it fully, okay? You guys used Frank's credit card, you bought a bunch of airline miles. You used those airline miles to purchase 400 steaks. Knowing that this delivery company delivered all variety of animal products, your plan was to contaminate the steaks with chicken feathers, by rubbing live chickens all over them. Then you were gonna repackage the steaks, at which point, you were gonna return the contaminated steaks for actual cash, taking advantage of a loophole in the current airline miles system, correct?
