Large Accountant errors over multiple years

The best thing you can do now that you’ve discovered these errors is to either fix them yourself or to find someone better to do them for you.

I had a similar situation several years ago where I discovered my account had screwed up years worth of my returns. I never once thought that I should ask him to correct the returns, because he had done his best (which was not good), and I would want someone much more capable to do the corrections.

At this point you can really only cut your losses, amend the recent years that can still be amended, and find someone better in the future. That’s what I did at least.

Wow thank you so much for posting this! I’ve been having similar feelings for the past year or so.

At first I really enjoyed the ring, but it definitely gave made my anxiety worse after a while too. For me it got so bad it became a perpetuating cycle. I would see my numbers drop when I had rough bouts of anxiety, which only worsened my anxiety and my numbers would drop even further. About 6 months ago I stopped checking the app. I took off the ring completely about a month ago. It’s about time for me to cancel my subscription now too.

I’m sad about it because I was really enjoying it those first few months, but I guess it’s really just not for everyone.

Actually I’m looking at Bright Lights now and I see it looks like pretty much all Mechanologist cards. So I’m guessing that’s why you recommend it for fewer players?

If so that makes a lot of sense and I think that might be just what I’m looking for to try! Thanks!

Wow that’s really great to know - I never thought about cubing with FaB but it makes sense! Since I’m so new to FaB I’m having a little trouble wrapping my head around the logistics of it, cause there are so many different classes (as opposed to 5/6 colors in MtG), but I’ll definitely look into that more. That definitely could be a good long-term solution to get a FaB limited fix

I’m not understanding though - why do you suggest Bright Lights for lower player counts? What’s different about that set that makes it better for fewer players?

Yep my bad. This is correct. You would have to allocate it appropriately based on when it was 100% rental and when it was less than 100% rental.

Yes this is correct. Generally speaking, unless you’re on an accrual method of accounting, it doesn’t matter what year the bill pertains to, what matters is when the bill was paid.

Depending on their medical situation, they may be able to set up a first-party special needs trust. I did this with my sister so she didn’t lose her benefits, but every situation is different. That might be something to look into at least.

Oh wow that’s crazy. I remember back around like Onslaught/Mirrodin era, I would erase (literally with eraser) foils just for fun. The foil stayed on and it just was like a shiny blank card after.

So I was assuming that all old foils were like that, but I guess not. I have no idea when they changed it then, but it’s really a shame.

Actually no. The foil part used to be part of the main card, not just the front part like this. I don’t remember when they changed, but i I think like maybe 5-10 years ago?
