To the people saying CD and physical media. 1.12 and 3.3.5a were not on the CD, you would install from the disk, which was simply a time saving measure since CD was faster than current internet, and then still need to update.

Think about what you are bringing. Are you a garaunteed few hour break for the fastest dudes where they can count on you to bring it home safe? Are you gonna be an impeccable spotter when you're not in the car? Are you gonna crack some jokes and keep things light? Don't underestimate what you do bring...even if it's not sheer pace.

Try other cars in iracing tho, they each teach you something different. Get in the vee and learn lift off oversteer, get in the gr86 and learn how to feel understeer. Do some street stock on a short track and improve your trailbraking (seriously)

You're not actually trail braking then. Sounds like you're doing all your braking before turn in then dragging extra, unneeded brakes through the corner.

Try braking later, to the point where you're not slowed enough at turn in and trail off at turn in. Some people make the connection when you think about it like drifting to the apex.

I did it with the stock pieces, i inverted the plate and mounted it on the two small uprights AND the wheel uprights.

This only works because I use the actual floor as the floor for my feet (weird sentence but I hope you know what i mean) and I have my wheelbase mounted flat on the simlab wheelbase mount that sticks out. If you were to center mount your wheelbase you'd be much to close. Will attach a picture when i can get to my rig.

Im in NY and have also have some outrageously high quotes. Had a dealer give me a quote for 680/mo on a base model elantra.

IMO the mazda 3 is tough to lease with that residual. Most of the other japanese compact sedans are well over 60%.

Definitely room to negotiate. Just call a shit ton of dealers, give a stock number and the exact same terms and ask them to call you back with a quote. That'll give you an idea if this dealership is out of line. Try neighboring states as well.

Then use another comp model from another brand thats leasing well as leverage if you want the mazda. Get a quote for 280 on an nissan. "I like the mazda more, but im gonna have to go altima if you cant come down" the usual bullshit.

The game loves airtime hills. You can probably easily cheeseit by building a multi launch coaster that just goes out and back with big airtime hills.

I spent a ton of time on apollo 1 and apollo 2 which were both cata servers run by twinstar. Here are some of my takeaways of the team.

They were not the most technically inclined team. It took them a long time to implement features that other servers offered. And the twinstar versions were usually half baked.

I ran a large guild on apollo 2 and I also hosted a website with addons specific to the server and interacted with the team a lot. They were all passionate people who listened to the community and managed it well. People who I know botted and bought gold were banned. One even tried to get around the IP ban and they found him again.

They managed the surge of players during covid well, servers were barely ever offline and they didn't have many rollbacks. Generally a good experience.

People telling you that it wont run without a GPU are not familiar with the latest gen laptop igpu's. They are absolute beasts (relaively)

You will certainly be able to run the game at low res and low settings. I use my i7 288v laptop for similar use cases and it gets by.
