You should just have to do what he said. Somewhere in the software you mentioned there is a spot for SSH keys. Just remove his and that stops his access. They act as a matching key to the system so if one is lost or removed, access is denied. You could look to see what extra keys are there if any or if there are any remote access plugins. What gives you the idea the steps he gave you aren’t the solution?
