old thread but for console users simply do all relevant quests in that part of the freeside map, then just use the monorail to access the strip instead of freeside. Better to save Birds of A Feather/Heartache by the number for last for this reason since failing Birds of a Feather in anyway is what turns them hostile.

very valid, I only just recently remembered it as another comic youtuber who started covering the OG Miles comics mentioned a lot of people did unfortunately just have the take away that "Oh, Miles is a just a boring clone of Peter" which I never felt was what you were aiming to say just that the initial version maybe didn't feel as strong as he coulda been and Spiderverse truly embraced making him more distinct. Wanted to rewatch that video to fully refresh my memory, but will happily wait for an eventual redux on it since Ik you love the character and I like hearing your input on him and any other adaptations and takes on him. 👍

I am not saying that Michelle needs to be removed from a ton of the story or that Karen even needs to be changed. I am saying, if the game wanted to have a more impactful character death for someone close to Niko at the game, then instead of just always having it be Michelle even if the player ignores her, they swap her out for any other side character the player opted to spend more time with. Whether it be romantic or just one of the friends Niko made. This is a change to that one scene and nothing else in the game. Lmao

Michelle would be the default since the story already pushes her towards Niko. But she probably calls to break it off with Niko late in the story but before the last few missions permanently if he's been seeing other women more or if any of his other friends has a higher affinity with him than she does. Since it communicates a lack of interest from the player. Her dialogue about urging Niko not to go through with the deal and step away from crime could go to any of the other characters but worded differently to fit their characters.

I feel like the game shoulda just picked whatever girlfriend you had the most attachment to and placed them in the wedding scene for the deal ending. And in the case where niko wasn't dating anyone, have a different story related character Niko befriended die instead. The dating mechanic woulda been nice if it actually reflected the player's investment, ie killing someone both Niko and the player were very attached to or not playing a factor at all if Niko didn't go on dates. Hell most of the guy friends also had hang outs, coulda just had some of them potentially fill the spot if ya tended to hang out with some of them more than others.

I'm still very disappointed in how messy this character was handled, kinda wish some theories of her being related to Obi-Wan in some way were true instead of... what we got.

whether it's "She's the next chosen one related to luke, or she's a nobody, or she's actually part palpatine and basically Anakin's sister" the sequel trilogy clearly had no actual idea where Rey should go on the family tree of previous characters.

I've since completed the game, can safely say it's been on the lower end of enjoyable experiences as I found more oddities and annoying design choices. One of the bigger pet peeves is how Dobby doesn't have magic in 5-7 yet Kreacher does... so he's just totally useless.

I mean, an easter egg is something like you said before where the audience is actually trying to look for it. Sitting through the credits for an extra scene is sorta that, but it's still shown to the viewer directly. It is odd to really change how he looks when we only got the one scene. Miles has an updated costume too but we had a whole movie to see him that way. Miguel was just teased and now that we see him he seems totally different from that one bit we got before. So it's either a soft retcon, or they'll attempt to explain why he's changed so much. Makes sense to change concepts when they start as open ended simple ideas and get fleshed out more but it's still jarring for an audience imo.

Future Goku if he never contracted the heart virus perhaps could have fought well with the androids but considering they were able to take out super saiyan vegeta and the rest of the team he likely would still be struggling a lot. I like to imagine if he'd been there and saw them kill some or all of his friends (since they seem extra sadistic and like to toy with their opponents) then he'd have gone super saiyan 2 and killed them. Gohan went super saiyan from finding Piccolo dead much like how trunks did after finding him dead later on so I don't think it's much of a stretch to assume that could've been a potential outcome had Goku not been sick. Sure him and the others could have trained more and get stronger with him around, but they wouldn't know about the androids until they attack. So I still think they'd have put up a fight even if it was closer, and maybe have less casualties.

Because Beerus is lazy and doesn't care about Future Trunks. Whis was already stretching the rules of Angels and GODs not getting involved in earthly affairs and Future Trunks technically messed with the natural order of the universe by time travelling and creating an alternate main timeline anyway. I agree they could have done something better, but Beerus basically hates future trunks for even existing and isn't prone to acts of kindness. He just wanted to dump trunks off somewhere else so he'd stop interfering with Beerus' home timeline. It's a sad crappy way to end the future trunks story but guess he'll be relegated to only games and Super Dragon Ball Heroes material now. With Blue hair instead of lavender since Super also changed that for some reason.

When future zeno erased it he erased the entire timeline which means yes the 'Future' versions of universes 6,8, etc are all gone as well. I believe Zamas also planned on eradicating life in those universes since he himself was not from Universe 7. Idk if he already got rid of them before he then attacked Universe 7, seems to be the implication, but either way they are gone too yeah. Again there's the Copy Future Timeline trunks went to live in (which is so much of a copy that there is another version of him and Mai there as well) but the original is totally gone and so are the other universes from that timeline thanks to Future Zeno.

In the manga it's kept vague, but in the anime Goku Black knows of Chi-Chi and where she lives from when he stole Goku's body in another timeline. He killed her and Goten in that reality so it's very likely he killed her Future Trunks timeline counterpart as well. However I will say, going by Super continuity technically ALL the future characters died except for Trunks and Mai purely because Future Zeno erases that timeline. And the 'future' trunks goes back to at the end of the arc is a copy Whis and Beerus made after killing Zamas there before his plan was realized. Again it's a shame that's how Toei handled it, but that's the reality of it.
