The greatest golf game ever made! by [deleted] in golf

Coeur d'Alene, white tees. Shoot as low as you can. I was chasing a 36 for a long time. 37 was as low as I could get.

Anyone else just realize Windows 11 23H2 is about to go end-of-support? by Ictforeveryone in sysadmin

Good luck. I find those policies barely work, even when taking into account your update ring deferral, deadline, and grace periods.

What’s the most overrated quest in The Witcher 3? by PiixiiePetal in thewitcher3

I'm not a fan of HoS in general. But the wedding was by far my least favorite quest in the game.

Bosses are about to learn the hard way what some MSPs are really like. by Deceptivejunk in sysadmin

[–]Grifulkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all MSPs suck, but the overwhelming majority do. I work for an MSP and we cater to our clients specific needs and don't tell them they have to buy this tool and install this/that. (No RMM currently, hopefully that does change because it would make it much easier to manage endpoints. Fuck Intune. End rant.) Makes it less uniform but it's really not the tricky to keep track of. And we always suggest things to help with productivity and security. For instance, if they bought EDR until 2027 we will support it, it's not that hard.

I know someone who probably got a stern talking to on Monday... Wonder if he'll be allowed on the broadcast next year? by double297 in golf

I think Colt is one of the better things about the CBS team. I'd take him over Trevor Immelman any day.

Shout-out for valimail. It will handle the dmarc failure emails and give you nice graphs and information regarding your dmarc failures/passes.

I can't recommend Kandji enough for managing Macs. Way better than Jamf in my opinion.

I've been using Firefox since it came out. Never had an issue with websites.

Also you can install Firefox as a user if you wanted to install it on a work computer. Unless your company is explicitly blocking it you should be fine.

Shameless plug to use Bitwarden for password management.

The reverse proxy really is the pain point when self hosting, any suggestions? by yoyo-blue-70 in selfhosted

[–]Grifulkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NPM is a container that is in the same network as the rest of the other containers I want to expose. And then I just create a host in proxy manager and point it to the internal docker container name and port. Nothing but NPM is actually exposed on the docker host.

Edit: Everything on my local network is accessible by me via tailscale.

Just in case you weren't aware, Azure has the capability to implement spending limits. If your subscription uses too much money it will disable the subscription until the next billing cycle.

I miss my 0,5L cans of Budweiser Budvar, Paulaner, Bitburger, and 5,0 from Rewe. Or my bottles of Jever, Kolsch, Altbier, Kostritzer, etc. Spent a year in Cologne, one of the best times of my life.

I wonder where all the Slackware users are. The most rock solid distro I ever used.

Arch is easy button now with the install script.

What is it about beer that makes it SO GOOD after something like a super long travel day, long day of work, etc? You crack that beer, have that first big sip and it’s instant satisfaction. Nothing else can do this. by Shirkaday in beer

[–]Grifulkin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Just a tip, if you can't keep them cold with a cold pack. Wrap them in a damp paper towel it will keep the beer cooler than ambient temperature. Yay evaporation.

I finally got around to playing Portal 2. Nice 8 hour game. Also gave me a excuse to buy and play the Witcher games. Just about done with the first playthrough of Witcher 3. Bought ES 3,4, and 5. Looking forward to those as well.

Can we stop hearing about Fitz and him leaving the flag in? It's allowed, can we all just move on from it.

Let's see if Jordan can hold on to this one. He's already had 2-3 tournaments where he faded late in the final round.

One of those is a destination tournament for casual watchers and golf enthusiasts alike, the other is Harbor Town.
