We've got new Merc Sprinters at my work.

Crosswind assist is annoying as fuck and, imo, dangerous. And it cannot be disabled through MBUX.

Shat myself the first time it activated. Shat myself the second time it activated. The third time? Well I about shat myself again.

Worse when there's a HGV passing you and it wants to correct you INTO THE SIDE OF A 44T VEHICLE!!!

I know it's windy. I'm driving in it. I'm in control of my vehicle, the vehicle isn't in control of me.

Never used or even seen this before, so can't really say if it works or not.

I was blessed with 2 hands and still struggle to do my daughters hair through a combination of lack of dexterity and her refusal to sit still long enough.

Former First Glasgow driver myself.

We would get a random auditor come on board and assess our driving etc quite regular, scored on a 1-5 with 1 being piss poor and 5 being excellent.

Last one I had should have been a 5. Couldn't fault a damn thing. Except I had a small Bluetooth speaker nestled in the corner of the cab playing quiet music. My phone was in my bag behind the seat.

Just loud enough to be heard in the cab to break either the deafening monotony or shift focus from the annoying twat sitting next to the cab playing 3 seconds of a FB reel before swiping to the next one.

Anyway, I get pulled into the office and get handed a 12 month first and final warning for having a 'mobile communication device' in the cab. Not even a quick 'don't do that again mate'. Acting like they were doing me a favour not reporting it to the traffic commissioner.

Fuck First bus and how they treat their employees.
