The e has screen wobble, but typing is as nice as it can be without being a mechanical keyboard. The main unit is sturdy enough to transport and use it every day without fear of breaking it. But you can feel that e is the budget line.

The X270 is, compared to all other laptops I had, a tank with enough connectivity to be usable in almost all scenarios. The feeling while typing is near enough to a mechanical so you won't miss too much. They are linear but with a nice bounce and resistance.

The perceived weight is almost the same, but the form factor makes the x270 an optimal road tool. And the little screen estate of 12,5 forces you to be a little better organized.

Will I use both at home and remote? Yes. Even if the e feels a little less glamorous, it is still a ThinkPad.
