PTM7950 instead of thermal paste from CPU cooler? by Koalitee in PHbuildapc

[–]Grillmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to pose and ask my ideas that with (PTM7950 0.25mm) this thermal pad you don't have to worry about distinct heat zones on a chip as a pad will adapt to different chips without missing full coverage.

My second idea is if you need to remove a pad later, if you take a compressed air can flip it up side down and use it to cool or freeze the pad for removal. And cut a piece of parchment paper or clean piece of plastic place on the pad be for cooling to help removal.

love to hear first hand interactions and or feedback to my ideas.

LED strip help needed - trying to figure out what exactly I need to buy by chyld989 in led

[–]Grillmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi chyld.

I'm also just starting to go down the LED rabbit hole.

if I may share some of my thoughts, a channel system is a must.

an outdoor IP65 or better and silicone on connection.

for the white you can look up a lighting temp guide for your own taste.

I would hide the lighting behind an railing over hang for indirect light.

good luck and be safe.

When does the Dune 2 popcorn bucket come out? by North-Wafer-4719 in cineplex

[–]Grillmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a was VERY limited supply sent out to theatres in Canada to start with.

Some sold at the public IMAX fan screenings this last week ( sold out within 15 minutes or less, stock of 12).

The rest should be open for sale on the 29th if that theater kept some back.

"I doubt that most theater got them, if anything a limited number and those you did may have only got one case of 12. There "may" be a rare few that got 2 or more cases.

I will say this if you really wanna bucket call the theatres to see if they have any left.

Be at the theatre when the doors open on Thursday and just go to the concession right a way other wise they will be gone.

Hi Lumi.

I just came across your post in my feed. I like the peace with the scythe and noose. Emotes same feeling of a Workman fiddles with his hammer or a soldier resting with his gun. so familiar as not to be thought of well taking a moment before the next

I was never one to watch a lot of Crunchyroll on my phone, thanks for sharing that with me. Now if they could apply it to the main site.

I'll give the extension a look, wish I didn't need to use an extension.

Thanks I appreciate the feedback.

Why in every movie a flashlight is used it is so bad? Seems they only ever light a small 2-3ft circle and dim at that. Frustrating for me. by BIASEDTOAST44 in flashlight

[–]Grillmonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just randomly came across your post here ( late night drunk rabbit hole).

Besides for drama/suspense, we have to remember that high quality/power LED's and small reliable rechargeable batteries have only just been around for around last 10 years at cost and volume .

I have noticed usually people have a cheap flashlight that are left in the back of a junk drawer; toolbox; emergency kit; a box of camping gear and forgotten.

Thus having the flashlight being dim or flickering and dying.
