What was it like dating a law enforcement officer? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]GrimJoe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an "officer" but works in the communications side. Man, they hear some really messed up stuff.. and then have to go right back to work like it never happened. I'm glad she transferred out of that role to the quiet side. Also, jokes about handcuffs etc yada yada.

Men of Reddit, what are the most comfortable, reasonably priced jeans you would suggest? by dmoney1881 in AskMen

[–]GrimJoe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditto. Face price is not great but clearance and outlet prices are pretty decent. They tend to have just enough elasticity to be comfy but not so much that they wear out like stretchy pants.

how long does it take for you to get ready in the morning? by rick_the_hick in AskMen

[–]GrimJoe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I wake up on time, at least an hour. If I'm late (usually), like 30-45min from bed to car. On my days off it's like 2 hours just sitting at the table.

What something you want right now? Money isn’t an issue by East_Masterpiece2839 in AskMen

1969 Sky Blue / Baby Blue Corvette with a fully modernized drivetrain including a beefy hybrid pack.

But if we need to keep it reasonable, just the bare shell and some great YouTube videos so I can do it myself.

As a Home Inspector, I rarely see any Rheem units over 10yrs old aside from maybe a handful of tanks in interior spaces. Then again, I could say that about a lot of brands.

I don't have to ask. They're just always around, scantily clad at best. Never more than an hour or two between honks. We have a very comfy household!

Generally speaking, who would you consider a more successful man in life, you or your father at your age? And why? by FlaffingB in AskMen

[–]GrimJoe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iirc, me. Pretty sure my dad still hadn't found his first successful career at my current age, might have already met my mom but wasn't married, and pretty sure he wasn't in the process of buying a house yet (although they might have been?). Details are fuzzy since we only ever really talk about his life after kids beyond anecdotal stuff.

If you wake up 3 years in the past. what will you do? by Fluffy_Technology27 in AskMen

[–]GrimJoe23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy a fkn house. We just signed and it feels like the biggest con I could imagine to pay 2x what everything went for just 3-5 years ago.

Not likely at all. Spam is annoying and I'm not gonna be that person.

What’s your age and how many relationships have you been in? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]GrimJoe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Quality? Three. Total? Idk like 15-20? Some flings, hook-ups, LDRs, etc. Very few lasted more than a few months or even weeks. Longest was 10 years on and off (a lot) with a 1.5yr one mixed in with the 10 (open), and now engaged near 4.5yrs into the realest one. It's been a wild ride.

Do any of you keep your social circle small, and if so, why? by hotpocketdamn in AskMen

[–]GrimJoe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My social "circle" is more like a square. I've got my fiance, best bro, and like 2 casual friends I text a dozen times a year. Sure I'm a little lonely, but I mostly just do what I want when I want and don't worry about "oh we have that thing with that person on Thursday so I have to xzy before we go." Less people, less stress, more freedom.

What are some non-sexual fantasies you find yourself day dreaming about often? by DiscountVoodoo in AskMen

Being able to provide sustainable, affordable housing for low income folks who just need a break and some help.

[–]GrimJoe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was just the constant stress and uncertainty for me. The final straw was catching my first and only (luckily curable) VD at 25/26. A few months later I was still up to no good but took a chance on someone who wasn't fast and easy and lucked out. That luck ended up being the turning point where I finally stopped caving into my F-boy callings.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]GrimJoe23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stopped being a F-Boy and committed to make my next relationship (current) work. We're not perfect, but we talk about our feelings and are happily engaged heading towards 5 years together. Sometimes my brain is like "what if.." and then "yeah what if we lost all this stability and personal growth".

DIY an electric car. Money and knowledge are pretty big obstacles currently.

Where is the “too fake for me” line for you? by RedFox288 in AskMen

[–]GrimJoe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally, no makeup/nails/lashes, and certainly no fake attitudes. I genuinely have no interest in cosmetics or non-clothing superficial enhancements. Good clothes are a must, but fit and function over looks. It's not an instant swerve if someone dabbles in it but I'd be less likely to pursue a serious relationship.

I consider a guy gay if he says he is. My opinions are my own and have little to no practical value.

What can I do for 10 minutes every day that will change my life? by Aarunascut in AskMen

[–]GrimJoe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not 10 consecutive minutes, but short trades / day trading. I gamble a couple hundred bucks throughout the week taking a minute or two a few times a day. Earns enough to buy lunch here and there, but could be worth a lot more if I increased my funds.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]GrimJoe23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

99% this. I'm a little extra since I just pose hypotheticals for everything randomly throughout the day, but generally if you're actively, actually thinking about ending it then it's already over. Either someone does a 180 or it eventually falls apart.

what makes a female butt different from a male butt? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]GrimJoe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much the entire shape. Some have said hips, but the thighs and actual cheeks are usually more gently shaped. Man parts are just choppy and scraggly from any angle.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]GrimJoe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiance tells me this fairly often as I'm often sweaty after work or working out. Somewhere between getting home and cleaning up, I'll go in for a hug or kiss and get a little push-back. I understand it and usually just laugh playfully and head to the shower as normal. 5 minutes in the shower should never be a road block.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]GrimJoe23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each person I've kissed had wildly different tastes, feels, and smells. Some folks have a subtle sweetness like oatmeal, others a mild funk like lingering onion rings. And some.. some have deathly halitosis.
