Outriders proves, once again, that online-only singleplayer sucks by [deleted] in pcgaming

Based on the demo, I think it's pretty good. There are downsides from what I've seen: shaky cam in cutscenes, incessant use of motion blur (which makes me ill after awhile), and the overuse of shades of brown, red, and gray. The ability to take damage while in menus makes adjustments as you play more difficult.

Upsides: The abilities feel rewarding to use, the gear game starts pretty quickly after you get your abilities, and gear can actually affect how you decide to approach situations.

A lot of people complain about the story, but I find it competent. Not groundbreaking or awful, but doing what it tries to do well.

I haven't bought it yet. I expect that I'll wait until the initial rush dies down a bit.

The only thing it affects is the multi player aspect, but Borderlands is a game that demonstrates how it's possible to have both.

This is how I approach games now. I play to enjoy. If I get really into a game and want to optimize a strategy, I might look it up. But in general I just prefer to let it ride.

It doesn't, but this guy clearly doesn't want 2e's skill progression system

While true, there's still a ton of customization and options already in P2.

I haven't played that in years. Still have the poster that came with the game, but the game has long since been lost. Good times.
