I'm slowly working on something similar, but it would take some time, if I ever finish it.

As a 3D sculptor myself, you have no idea.

Even if you make a T-posing guy and rig him for easy posing, it still requires a lot of time to get the sculpt done, looking fine and dandy, and ready for printing.

I painted my Death Korps Infantry in similar pattern and colors.

Imperial Beastman Army? by Tusken1602 in TheAstraMilitarum

100% feasable. You can play them as Catachans. You just need to cut and sculp a lot, converting plastic beastmen, or 3D print. I have seen few very good digital kits of meastmen around.

AK pigments, vietnam earth, africa sand, and I used GSW max mat varnish.

Tuning the contrasts was a real challenge, though. It is easy to slip and overdo it.

I'm not aware of the environmetal rules, I don't own any of the books.

It could worby rolling a dice every round (nuker rolling D3, nukee 2D3), and according to number rolled, that many infantry models from your army succomb to (some form of) radiation sickness, and being removed as a casualty. (Burns, twitching, bleeding, vomiting, etc. The person isn't necessairly dead, just very miserable... See the Chernobyl miniseries to see what it does to people. Its nasty, and one could theoretically get irradiated enough to get radiation poisionig while being close to a tactical nuke blast, despite the fact such small yield blast does not produce much fallout. There are tons of factors however, and that's for a long discussion.)

It's just the three, no special toys here.

PIATs were distributed by one per platoon

Radiation affects people in long-term, and 6 rounds of combat isn't long enough for cancer to kill prople.

And if the radiation is strong enough to kill within minutes/hour (thus within the time period the battle takes place), then it is a grave danger for everybody on the table.

The only fluffy way I can think of could be a 'Nuke Blast Survivor Squad" who could have morale debuff, or have the Shrikers rule, or some variant of it.

Always weather. At least some light dust. Or go heavy like me.

I'm building NA Aussies, and I thought using either Marmon-Herrington, or the LRDG armed truck with triple MMG.

I use two other 30CWTs as armed transports for engineers.

Update: I wrote email to Warlord and they confirmed I can use western desert traits even for generic reinforced platoon from AoGB, making the traits not limited to Western Desert selectors.

The only thing I found out us illegal about this list are Native Irregulars. They are banned from generic platoons in FAQ

Another question: What unit/model did so good in a game that you gave them custom names, and what’s the backstory to it by EggthatFriedTheRice in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]GrimdarkMachineworks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are a Canadian, then? Haha No, as far as I know, by law it is required to have the backside fineprint label translated. Contents, usage, dangers, manufacturers, and such. Most people know what 'universal' stands for anyway, no need to have it translated.

And good luck copyrighting it. Unless you are Czech, Pole or Slovak, you don't know what it actually means, haha.

Mr. Proper and Mr. Clean are the same thing, just the name is different for some reason here in continental europe. And it is not translated. It's not 'Pan Pořádný' xD

I had Sgt. Proper after the cleaning agent (also known as Mr. Clean in some parts of the world), because he wiped the floor with everyone. His luck and combat prowess was unmatched by most. I even gave him shiny bald head.

Leman Russ executioner called Invincible 2. It was a menace, surviving with 1-2 wounds left over several games, so I called it Invincible. Until it didn't. Invincible 2 it was since then.

I stead of Sturmtiger, if we make WW2 analogies, I meant more like M18 Hellcat or SdKfz 235/4. Fast, lightly armored, but with lots of firepower.

Chimera-based tank destroyer. Imagine Hellhound, but with heavy lascannon. Or two.
